Hey guys,

I'm not really pleased with how this vid turned out, so I'll be posting a bonus vid sometime this weekend to make up for it. That said, feel free to post any questions or criticisms of this vid.

hi bones, thx for rare 6max sng vid Wink Here`s my question: what are the main differences betweet 6max ar 9max SNGs? Its still the same tight lowblind(30-75bb) game, more agroo(steal/resteal 15-30bb) mid game, and your normal ICM (15 and uder bb`s) shovefold game? Does the ranges have to be more loose becase of the fact that we have smaller effective M(due to less seats blinds pass us faster) or smth?

Good vid, not too many interesting spots, but as you say, that's the way it goes with a live play vid.

A good idea of a follow up going over these 4 tournies in SNG Wizard, and playing around with the ranges. You went on record a lot in this vid saying X and Y was a push based on stated ranges, so it would be cool to see that and play around and see what makes hands +EV. Both your hands (how wide does BTN have to be opening to make that KJ resteal good? how much FE do you need?) but also your opponents (You said your opponents Qx call HU was inexplicable, but if you are shoving as wide as 72s, did he actually make a smart adjust and call you so light? etc).

Hal,

My early adjustments in 6 max compared to 9 handed are mostly just additional aggression and flatting with fewer speculative hands since multiway pots are much less common. I definitely re-steal a bit more in the 15bb range than I would in a 9 handed game, partially due to the widening of my opponents ranges and partially because of the rate at which the blinds hit us.

Hood,

I plan on doing something very similar to that in the upcoming bonus vid.

tbh I felt like I was doing too much 6max. AMT and I have something in the works for next season, but I'll do my best to incorporate at least some 6m into it.

Note on your shove at 31:09:

He have been playing very tight, and maybe this is a mathematically correct play in a vacuum, but as you say: Some times people just figure out they will call with a subpar hand. You have been pushing him alot, and it's reasonable to believe he has noticed your pushing range are very wide.

If he calls, he would almost certainly be ahead, and if he wins, he will be a little over 2-1 dog against you (and essentially make a comeback in the match.)

Time is on your side, why risk him doubling up cheaply when you can dwindle him down by shoving a tighter range (like all aces, kings and pairs?)

It's been quite awhile since I played this, but looking back on that hand and the few before I had no reason to think he'd make that adjustment. When it comes to push/fold, don't assume someone has adjusted or will adjust, especially someone you don't expect to be a good, thinking player. Make them show you first.
