If you think about it in absolute terms, then you're right. Assuming 100bb stacks, you risk 3.5bb to to win 100bb. By risking 1bb you just have to win 100/3.5 = 29bb on average...

Consensus on open limping 6max?

My experience is at 100, but I find it hard to believe there are people who will 3-bet a wider range than raise in position against a limper at any stake.
