Buzz is Google's new micro-blogging service. Anyone with Gmail has likely heard of it. Anyhow, one of the coolest features is the integration with Google Reader for discussing interesting blog posts/other RSS driven media. I like the service but right now I don't have a ton of people on my list for sharing. If anyone else uses the service and wants to exchange info, post here!

I deleted my Google Buzz account after it automatically created a profile, added a bunch of people as followers some of who I haven't emailed in years and then made my reader and youtube actions available to all of them. Bit of an ill-thought-out mess imo.

They may have improved the privacy holes since then, and I may try it again in the future the privacy flaws in this when it was launched were really terrible.

I just really had no interest in social media integrating with my email address, and opted out immediately.

Pfft Google are the least of your worries. I gave up trying to maintain a separation between my online and offline presence a long time ago.

It can be done but it has to be done from inception and quite methodically. One leak and it's all essentially useless.

I have just discovered this as well per the recomendations of a friend from 2+2. From what I can tell in the reader you can not only follow google buzz memebers but also most any blog. I dont have a google blog but have a blog setup through another client. It allowed me to follow that blog through google.

I just got a new nexus one android phone and buzz seems to be big on there as well and on google maps.

Anyways I followed you. My name on there should be similar to the one on here. Something involving ThunderFan. I am #1ThunderFan on 2+2 and on here obviously.

Google reader is awesome. Buzz is awful.
