I read the thread there and thought it was close too and didn\'t really have any great thoughts to add. Argument for raising is the chance to get a free card, you should probably coldcall so 3 betting only risks a bit more with good potential reward, its good for a LAG image, you can choose to bet the turn when you improve.

The argument for calling is the SB is showing a lot of strength and may cap it and lead turn, this is mitigated by the fact he will 3 bet and lead turn anyway so it doesn\'t change much.

Folding is not completely unreasonable btw, it has to be considered. The argument for folding is (obviously) tainted outs, some reverse implied odds, and your effective odds if the other two guys keep jamming and you face two bets on the turn.

Wish I had a greater insight for you. I\'d probably raise it.

Hi guys

So I posted this on 2p2 in the small stakes forum and got mixed responses. I.e. I didnt learn jack!

Game is Party Poker 15/30. Typical weekend game with a few fish and a bunch of LAGs and LAGTAGs, so this was one of the few pots that wasnt 3-bet preflop.

SB is a LAGTAG about 30/20 5-6 handed. I dont remember the specifics, but he had made some plays that seemed poor to me. However, I havnt got the slightest idea what hands he donks with 5-way.

CO is a 40/10 moron who gets kind of excited and eratic when everything LAGs up, so he is definetely not playing passive.

PF: Hero is OTB with AdKc

MP calls, CO calls, Hero raises, SB calls, BB calls, MP calls, CO calls

Flop 10SB. 8d Qd Th

SB donks, BB and MP folds, CO raises, Hero?

I dont think Hero can fold, tho i thought briefly about it and I guess its close.

Whats the plan if continuing? I can see arguments for both calling and raising.

Oink..
wish I was better...could help you.

Does the donk in a bigger.. lagg game like this ..mean he wants to 3bet it?

as for your question...
it seems to me...you need to see the turn card. the cost, I think you knew as you were playing the hand. Cause you knew how the game was playing.
you did factor this in, at the moment...when you played the hand.
whatever you did....I am sure it was the right play...or so close....its not worth sweating over.

I don\'t think folding is bad. But if you want to play I prefer to 3bet, it has the benefits of overreprensenting your hand, so making the opponents to play more straightforward, possibility of taking a free card, and even cleaning some outs, or folding a better hand (this happens rarely but...)
