Poker primary Goals:
- 8-10 hours a week and make it a WEEKLY goal
- Mental game Improvement
- Keep up A Game, shouldn't be too hard when not really grinding
- Get one of the DC coaches to produce MOAR DOJO!!

Poker Secondary Goals
- Would like to be at least capable of a shot at 10/20 by the end of the year
- While Supernova would be nice it's not a Primary Goal. If it's reasonable in June/July without breaking my back or having to increase volume by 50% etc to get it then fine (I think that pretty much says..."If I'm at 5/T in 6 months I'll go for Nova")
- Since I don't have any VIP Primary Goals maybe look at the games on Full Tilt at some point.

Life Goals:

- US Trip in May
- England WIN the World Cup (I'm so going to get laughed at if we lose to the US...or Germany)
- Lose 35-40lbs before US trip...and then put it all on again in a week
- Start ACCA (Chartered Accountants) exams if at all possible.
- Football twice a week
- Gym 3 times a week
- Be capable of running 5k without falling over and dying by March and be capable of running 10k comfortably by summer....baby steps.

Before I get into actual goals, my life is very different from 12 months ago in a number of ways, so anything i say here is obviously subject to change and I hesitate to make goals this long term... but i'm going to run out a few things that I have in mind.

Poker:
1) continue to play int he games of HUHU that I am rolled for (currently 5/10 to 10/20. Consider moving up higher... I dont honestly know how comfortable I feel with playing for more money (a year ago i would have thought 10/20 was mroe money than I would ever play for). Also, with the health of the HUHU world, i dont know how much action im going to get higher to warrent getting into those games too heavily

2) continue coaching Taoism in our beginner HUHU series and hope that the feedback is positive. I would love to become a DC coach, but I am not sure if that is feasible for a couple reasons a) im not very good at any poker other than HUHU b) there are already a few very good HUHU coaches on DC and i'm certainly not as accomplished as any of them.

3) learn new games and put some time into them. I am interested in putting some time into HUPLO and also into o8. I will see what transpires from both of those games.

4) play poker semi-professionally over the next 8 months before I leave on my trip.

5) Be a good member of the DeucesCracked community.

Life
1) Get Married. July 17th bitches.

2) go on my European adventure. The plan is to leave shortly after the birth of my fiancee's best friends baby and travel for up to 6 months through as much of Europe as we can handle. I want to sleep on your couch.

3) Enjoy this semi-retirement that I am on, but focus heavily on getting my teaching resume up to snuff and reapplying at all districts in my area.

4) Learn about my two newest passions for my life: looking into taking a Masters of History or learning about Real Estate Investment. Both of these intrigue me and I think that I could do well at either.

5) Read books. I like books. I have 40ish at my house that are unread. I'm going to do something about that.

6) Train and Cross Train for squash. Big tournament season this year with Nationals being very close to where I live. I would like to win an A level tournament and be ranked in the top 60 in the province. I'm currently hovering around 100.

7) start a DC blog - pretty simple, but ive started and killed blogs before. Hopefully this will take and I can have something of note to post semi-regularly.

I think thats all. lets go 2010

It's a national and local organization. So there are special Olympics just in Pittsburgh for example. You should check it out.

definitely. i was just thinking that the Olympics are in vancouver in 2 months, and I was under the impression that the Special Olympics were as well.

I didnt realize that it was also region specific. very cool.
