Pot or close to pot, even overbetting looks great. Your range looks weak, almost all the draws missed (T8 made it on the turn only) and you are ahead close to 100% here and I don`t expect him to be elastic with his bluffcathing range based on your bet size.

But really you should be 3betting this preflop like 110%...

Yeah, full ring game, hero playing 11/9 with 3b:3 - 3bets UTG open. Imagine all the action he would get Wink

Sure this is a 3b pre. Villain is nitty so more likely he has a big hand and wants to get it in.

Villain running 17/10 so far, so I would expect him to call rather then 4b (despite my previous joke I still think it should be a 3b Smile

Even if he just calls our 3b it's great because we play a big hand IP with a smaller SPR.

im fine with a call pre, always looks so strong to raise here. This villan may have called light but he had folded to 3 bets twice already in the sample.

Even if villain folds it`s a good result picking up 4.5bb, plus I highly doubt 17/10 (big gap in VPIP and PFR) 10NL player is very positionally aware, plus he is most likely more on the passive side so I don`t see any point in slowplaying AA pre Smile . And if he is folding a ton start 3betting him light.

Sure you can get value now by 3b. But it is important to ask if you can get more value later? And if he always pays 3 streets w KQ on Q9767 flating might be a good option.

Without doing math I`m 100% sure 3betting is wayyyy more EV+ then flatting. This kind of greed/slowplaying stuff gets people into trouble more often then does any good.

I'm playing vs straight forward players for the most part, with position and the best starting hand in hold-em. I can't see me getting myself into too many sticky spots. I think people can get their self into trouble when they cant let the hand go. With this villain, just because of the calling tendencies indicated by the stats I think you could go either way and 3 betting may be slightly better but I think its close either way. Its not as if its a huge sample.

I think if your going to say that you are going to 3bet this spot vs any villain with AA/KK 100% of the time I don't think you are getting the value you should be.

If it sounded disrespectful I'm sorry it was not meant like that, It's more that I'm curious how you make money when everyone is soooo tight and we don't even get action from someone with a pfr of 10%.

By running the table over if they let you, selectively of course.

I think if your going to say that you are going to 3bet this spot vs any villain with AA/KK 100% of the time I don't think you are getting the value you should be.

OK, tell me pros for flatting instead of 3betting and cons why we shouldn`t 3bet vs any villain in this particular situation.

Let me ask you the question first, you open under the gun and 12/10 guy with a 4% 3bet from MP, 3 bets you. Your at your tightest, he should not be fucking with you. Whats your calling range?

personally i'm playing super tight. I dont want to call with AK/QQ OOP I think i'm just dropping them. So my continuing range in these spot is 12 combos out of 86. So around 86% of the time i'm folding.

With AA why would I want a fold pre so often? I just think I get much more vlaue playing it post flop. if they hit top pair/overpair you can get 3 streets from a hand that would have folded preflop. In a lot of cases you just pick up the cbet but thats better than having them fold pre.

You might not get their stack everytime they have KK but it really is a small part of their range.

You can also get into spots where someone 3 bets from behind and i just rub my hands together.

You can argue that you lose value when sometimes people are willing to get QQ/AK in pre. but these people are overplaying there hand pre and are just as likely to do the same postflop.

You could say if you playing like this you are very exploitable. But at the end of the day if someone starts getting out of line you widen your 4 bet range and adjust..

not any villain, just the ones who are likely to fold a lot of the time.

Anyway, I'm playing 10NL and still learning and if you can find faults in the above please let me know.
