Hey, I have taken a LOT of notes on FTP. Since I was primarily accustomed to Stars the whole color coding concept was foreign to me. Of course now Stars has introduced color coding, so I am making efforts to design a system for myself.

Naturally I'd like to make my Stars system and my FTP system the same, so I now want to go back in and change the color of my FTP notes. Currently they are all green (since that was the default) but I want to use that as my color indicating a fish.

So...my question is...is there a way I can change all my notes from one color to another? I know where the .xml note file is for FTP, but I don't know how to edit it. If someone can tell me how to edit it I think that'll be enough as I should be able to find and replace pretty easily to switch the colors.

Right click on the notes file and open it in notepad. Press control+h. Under "find what" type in "ColourIx="7"" and under "replace with" just have the same text but a different number, but I'm not sure what the right number is. Click on "replace all" and all the colors will be changed to a new color. Good luck, Yojimgari

To anyone else doing this, here are the steps I took:
I decided I wanted the yellow-ish color to be my default unknown because that is what Stars defaults to. So I opened up the FTP client and just put a quick test note on a player with that color.

I then opened up the notes file and searched for that player (CTRL+F) and looked at the color tag - in this case ColourIx="5". I then followed Yojimgari's instructions and found all ColourIx="7" (which is green) and replaced them with ColourIx="5".

It took a few minutes for Notepad to scroll through the whole file and replace them all, but it worked. Oh and at the end I deleted the test note.
