Not a big fan of invisible children as an organization have read a number of articles how they got like 10m+ last year and only around 30% went to the direct cause the rest was on salary's e.c.t. Its an amazing story though that you almost cant believe we are doing nothing about.

People are such sheep, see one 'reliable' source and they jump on the bandwagon. A fancy 30 min and everyone is sold to the idea....great opportunity for someone to make loads of money from the name of Kony who i read has not been 'active' since 2006.

Why do they only use around 30% of their donations towards their charity? How much do they need? What do they spend their money on? If/once Kony is found, what next? Who next?

Seems a great money making scheme, but i sincerely hope everyone i watched on the documentary is accurate and true.

I'm pretty sure he is active bro and if he isn't clearly another person is doing the same thing so making it famous is still a good idea. Few of the articles i read said most of it was salary's + that guys filmaking another article said they took a jet from Africa to the u.s not sure if that is accurate however.

respect to the film maker, and as he points out, I was totally unaware about KONY as i am sure many people were too. Hopefully this cunt will be brought to justice if we can raise enough awareness

Is this a scam or no?

I haven't seen video yet but how is donating supposed to capture this guy exactly?

This just proves to me how fucking dumb 90% of Americans are. I swear to god my entire news feed on Facebook was full of this shit today. Statuses like "Kill Josephy Kony" and "Kony I'm gonna get you". People see a well put together documentary and flip the fuck out like it's breaking news that shit like this happens in the world. This and things like it have been going on for a loooooooong time people. I guess I have wishful thinking that this mini doc will do some good/raise awareness to spark a change but idk.

Of course the situation is absolutely terrible. I'm not denying that. However, after "Invisible Children" Takes their share all the money would do is go to other government organizations in Africa which are also extremely corrupt and full of criminals like this "Kony" asshole.

I saw 3bet mention that only 30% of the money goes directly to the cause, if that's remotely accurate then there is obviously a lot of people profiting off of this horrible situation.

It really pisses me off that we're in an essentially war for profit in the middle east when we could actually be doing some good in the world. If the government actually gave two fucks about anything but money they would be helping fight the drug war in Mexico and helping out places like this in Africa. Ok I'm done ranting.

Not to dent peoples opinion of charities further, but 30% going to the cause beats the crap out of some other more recognizable names.

Watch this before you ship out any money http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvqFi_HRPmk&feature=g-all-u&context=G2c74a5dFAAAAAAAAJAA

Even though the guy is basically a MW3 gameplay commentator, He's really smart and I'm fairly confident he has done the right research before putting the vid up.

Sweet, thanks man. I really didn't want to try and dig up information for hours on this issue.
