Never done this before, I am assuming I am picking second for some reason since I am second on the list. I just clicked on test to test the draft software and it just sits there doing nothing. Is this working for anybody else?

How are we paying for this?

OK I just noticed the messages on the league page DOH!

Just did a mock draft

1. LeSean McCoy (Phi - RB)
2. Larry Fitzgerald (Ari - WR)
3. Felix Jones (Dal - RB)
4. Wes Welker (NE - WR)
5. Ben Roethlisberger (Pit - QB)
6. Jason Witten (Dal - TE)
7. Tim Hightower (Was - RB)
8. Nate Burleson (Det - WR)
9. Pierre Garcon (Ind - WR)
10. Danny Amendola (StL - WR)
11. Braylon Edwards (SF - WR)
12. James Starks (GB - RB)
13. Detroit (Det - DEF)
14. Josh Brown (StL - K)
15. Jason Campbell (Oak - QB)

What do people think? There was a rush on D/ST the first one went in like round 5. Also I wasn't too keen on the Roesthilsberger pick I was just in a hurry and didn't want an auto pick. I wasn't sure about the bench and how many of each position to have on my bench. I didn't know whether to have a back up TE. Any advice? Also what would happen during the Detriot bye week when it comes to my D/ST?

your WR's are weak tbh, garcon isnt gonna do much first few weeks assuming kerry collins starts, big ben is way overrated, i would have tried to wait on sam bradford, matt cassel which you can usually get later on assuming that all the QB;s were not off the board, james starks is pretty useless ryan grant will be the work horse and there prob was a starting RB laying around at that point like cedric benson. Not a horrible team, but i think pick 15 you need to go with someone with the chance of upside or the backup to one of your rbs. Jason Campbell doesnt do you much, and you can find a spot starter for Ben's bye, so he is taking a spot up which is only needed in like what week 8? Amendola may or may not as many recepts bc they have more recievers there, braylon edwards has nobody throwing to him. Granted, in mock drafts its usually 14 teams which is always gonna make teams watered down.

I like your backs, im a huge fan of hightower in washington, got him as my flex in my other league, i love the det D and have them in my other league ( did you see them vs brady? it was a great sign if they can keep that up), i also took mccoy in my other league first round but it was more a factor of Bye week lining up with who i was going after in later rounds then anything, he is alright, but we will see. Larry is a good pick rd 2, but idk how well he will do first few weeks with kolb. hope for the best there. Wes welker is hurt but should be fine, decent pick but maybe a round too early depending on your spot. I think Witten will have a huge year, along with Felix jones so good values there. But with that set up, i think your last pick should be a backup for hightower, mccoy, or jones.

nate burleseon is a beast in preseason, but good luck in the regular season with him lol. thats prob the worst pick given the round considering the value. Also, be careful of your byes, dont have my bye sheet with me but i think you have a few overlaps.

i could post my team from my other league and you could butcher me if you like.

oh and unless your allowed to play TE in your flex spot, and there are no good rb's left then i wouldnt go 2 TE, but if your set for most your starters and have a good TE, good TE's still on board and you need a flex its not a bad option they should get TDS, but go TD machines not yards machines there. Also make sure that the running game for that team isnt good too.

I'm slightly confused by the mechanics of FF, how can I add players to my team in bye weeks? For example say I didn't have Jason Campbell would I have to cut someone to be able to bring in a QB to cover BigBens bye week?

I forgot to mention it was a 12 team draft and I had pick number 7.

i think i had the 7th or 8th pick in my draft:
1. McCoy RB eageles
2. Matt Forte RB bears
3. Deangelo Williams Rb panthers
4. Mario Manningham Wr Giants
5. Mike Wallace Wr Steelers
6. Pierre Garcon Wr Colts
7. Malcom Floyd Wr Chargers
8. Sam Bradford QB Rams
9. Tim Hightower Rb Redskins
10. Kyle Orton QB Bronco's- Just missed a few other Qb's i wanted more here
11. Santana Moss Wr Redskins
12. Cedric Benson Rb Browns
13. Brandon Pettigrew TE Lions
14. Det D
15. Josh Scobee K Jag's

oh it was a 10 team league so clearly better rosters then a 14 team league

In order to fill byes without having people already on your bench, there will be free agents (i.e. all undrafted players). These may be picked up at any time, but yes you will have to cut someone (usually from your bench) to pick these people up. You can also propose trades with other managers as well. If more than one team wants a specific player we go to waiver rules, which differ from league to league, but generally those that make the least roster moves (cutting players) or those who are losing the league, get first priority.

Do people sometimes just not play someone instead of cutting someone or do people often leave a waster per say on the bench so they can bring people in for byes?
