I'm european and it works great for me! Guess it depends on where you live...

Crazy video Krantz... there's a topic I'd like you to talk about.
That would be your thoughts on the 'range vs range' concept in general; polarized, merged and balanced ranges and how to use and think about em in the right way. Would love some insight on those...

Other than that, just keep it up!

Well... I'm not really sure what exactly you're asking but I'll try to scratch the surface.

You want to polarize your range against players who aren't thinking about hand ranges. You want to merge your range (I hate this term, but for those of you who don't know it's to make your range look polarized, meaning where it looks like you have the nuts or nothing, you actually have something in between) against players who think your range is polarized. And you want to balance your range against very strong players to try to neutralize any hand reading advantage they might have over you.

I'm not really sure what you mean by "range vs range" concept, but I take it to mean the idea where you are playing not your cards or your opponents cards but your hand range for raising/calling/reraising preflop AND taking A, B, C actions postflop vs their range for their respondent actions. That's part of the way you should be thinking about things, yes, constantly ruling hands out of their range and thinking about how the remaining hands should and will respond to actions from your range (and putting yourself in their head and thinking about what hands they are ruling out of your range as action progresses and why).

U talked about HEM i would like to see you use it next week and talk about how u would use them against various opponents. During some parts when u have no hands to talk about - it would be nice to hear what sort of things you did while u grinded smaller stakes, what to think about, the adjustments ect. You also talked about that if i remember correctly that the smaller stakes are way more aggressive with 3betting. It would be nice to have a smaller stakes series where u could go more in depth how do adjust to the 3bets ect..

Thank You

Im really dissapointed with the Speed you provide for European Members - Im downloading with max 13 kb/s this is so annoying and I thought u guys were working on better downloadmirrors for the European guys but its the same since months. I better not rate... I really cant see why I should pay for the membership if it takes 2hours to download a video.

Please work on this !!

YPGM, but please check this thread out.

This series is fantastic! I can't tell you how much my game's improved since I joined DC.. Smile

FYI, Poly_baller might've had some help in improving his game.. I heard that he's barryg1's nephew, and that Barry told him that he'd only help him out with his poker game if he got good grades at uni Smile.

Really good video and I don't think you ever would need to be concerned for silence in your videos, almost get the feel that you have worked as commentator Smile

I would like discussion about general game plans with different types of hands.
Small PPs from the blind, how should they be played pre-flop and what do you need to do post-flop to cut out a win from them? Then the same stuff with others like SC/BW/suited trash etc.

Everything concerning how to avoid tilt and how to constantly play your A-game is very valuable. [Even if I get the feel that there is no real good strategy to prevent tilt]

How you change gears and preferable with the specific changes you are doing, so instead of just saying it's time to play tighter instead say I will stop 3B trash and will probably only 3B the biggest hands like 99+/AQ+ but if the situations seems really good I will still 3B the bigger SC etc...

A TIP
From a teaching perspective you should never show stuff that you don't want your students to do, the optimal way to teach new concepts would even be to edit out all the hands when the 'best' play fails. [If you wonder why I can expand on it]

btw - If I was one of the tilt-monkies/donks on your table I would rather want you to point that out so I would know that I had some work to do.

Basic question:
In a lot of videos you pros talk about giving up equity by checking and giving free cards. What i would like to know is how i know how much im giving up.

Lets say i have QQ and FI has 67
flop 892
FI checks i bet he calls
the turn is an A he check I check behind (never mind betting might be better).
How do i calculate how much that free card cost me?

Krantz - maybe it's just me, but I feel like you and whitelime both being used to highstakes and HU, that you don't take something like 5/10 6 max as seriously. Since you guys have a huge bankroll - you can make all in pushes somewhat lighter than other people because you don't have to worry about losing a bunch of buyins at these stakes. You even say things like "I don't recommend you do this, but i'm gonna do it anyway". I could be completely off here - but do you think that might affect the way you play at 5/10 and give other players at these stakes kind of the wrong idea?

That said, I think this series kicks ass for thought process/hand range reading and I look forward to seeing these vids on mondays.

Well when I say that "you shouldn't do this", you absolutely shouldn't. I'm just making a play to reinforce my read that getting out of the hand is correct and gambling. I'm going to stay away from doing this in future episodes though because there's definitely been some confusion on why I was doing that.

But re: the first part, it's extremely important to not care about the stakes you are playing and have big bankrolls to not only weather variance, but make very thin +EV plays and experiment with new lines. I attribute much of my success to trying out unorthodox plays and not being afraid to get all-in light.

I think I'm going to outline the next few episodes and make sure I spend time specifically playing LAG and specifically playing TAG. I was just a bit worried that playing too tightly wouldn't give me enough to talk about during dead time, but you guys have provided me with enough topics to elaborate on where that should not be an issue anymore.

Yeah I understand that's all apart of your style (which is why that big stack was doubling you up real light later in the video so metagame pays off). That was really just a thought - if you nit it up everyone will complain that theres no action so it's probably best like you said to do a bit of both. Either way the videos are real educational to people not used to that style.

good vid but i had a problem with watching it

i stream it through my xbox and watch it on my tv which causes the sides to slightly get cuttoff, usually its not a problem but in this video i could only see 1 of ur cards on the first table. so if u could use the preferred seat option and sit in that bottom right seat or soemthin in future that'd be good. thanx!
