Question for players outside the US who have attempted to withdraw via Money bookers which have failed. When the payment did not go through did you just get an email notification of the failure and the money was put back into the poker client cashier?
When I click on the Moneybookers button in FTP Cashier, I get a popup saying "Sorry your transaction cannot be processed at this time, please try again later".

Joe, once things become clearer for US players will DC make some sort of official post? I mean what options US players have, sites to play, etc.
Since playing online is very grey right now, and has always been state by state regulated as well, we will not be making such a post.
AFAIK, Cake, BoDog and the Merge network are open to US players still, obviously going to have to use them at your own risk and payment processing is likely going to be very slow.

"Message to International Customers (Outside US) 16 April 2011
Unfortunately, due to recent actions by the U.S. government, Full Tilt Poker is unable to accept "real money" play from U.S. players; however, we continue to conduct business as usual in the rest of the world. Please be assured that your funds remain safe and secure."

I requested a grand from Stars yesterday morning. Cashier says it's still pending.
Full Tilt cashier denies Moneybookers as an option.
I agree with those who say we need to be patient as there are many unknowns. I am not tied into poker as much as most of you. However, I've played online from the early days and I've always been impressed with the level of trust and goodwill throughout the internet poker community. I know there are exceptions, but the people who run these major online networks are businessmen, not cheats. Their reputations, character and integrity are important to them. In time, they will make things as right as they are able.

Im not sure Id want to be one of the few Americans playing now.... Very easy to track who you are and if the FBI thinks online poker companies are fraudulent, and UIGEA should block US players from playing, do you want to be the guy sticking out?
I know Im a bit of a nit when it comes to criminal activity, but I would hate being the guy they make an example out of. Especially if its over a few dollars....
Id just give everything a couple days to sort out....
Just like Im sure theres a bunch of players that have created new accounts to get on, which is against the ToS. Just dont want to see anyone get in bigger trouble to play a few hands...
The FBI will not be punishing any individual player, espcially when there is no law being broken unless they are in a state where it it prohibited, then the burden to enforce would be on the state. (This is also a huge burden.)

What absolutely blows my mind is how dead the free market is in the USA.
If your company completely fucks up and you lose your customer base because your products suck but you are an American icon (Ford, GM, etc.) you get bailed out by the government, yet if you provide a service that people actually want and enjoy the entire system works together to disallow and destroy it. Really at this point the major corporations may as well be state controlled.
It's so beyond messed up I can't even find the right words to express myself. It's like a bizarre Brave New World/1984/CCCP redux with a red white and blue twist.

Could not agree more, its amazing what has happened to the United States in the past decade (post-9/11, and look into 9-11 itself, it is shocking)

I dont mean to single you out or pick on you. But the fact you actually believe this and you are someone who should know better (given you know enough about poker to actually find a site like DC), it reeeeeeeaaaaaalllllly makes me sick to my stomach to think of how the actual uninformed must think about all of this, and means it makes poker look that much worse.
PLAYING POKER AS AN AMERICAN IS NOT ILLEGAL.
The sites have allegedly broken laws, not any single player. It is 100% legal for me to play online poker, there is no federal or state law prohibiting me from doing so.

You have that backwards. The corporations control the state.

You really beleive that? They are businessmen agreed....but they dont give a fuck about their reputations, character or integrity...If they did they wouldn't have perpetrated massive bank frauds to make some extra profits...Obviously profit>character,integrity....If they were primarily concerned about charcter and reputation then they would have not alowed US deposits(like the sites who didnt want to comitt bank fraud) and they could have made 250,000,000 dollars instead of 500,000,000 dollars...(numbers are made up obv to illutrate the point.)

I think what amazes many non-US residents is the cult-like behaviour of a significant portion of US citizens. An astounding number of Americans seem to beleive that theirs is the 'greatest' country in the world. There are several peculiar notions associated with this:
1. Nothing is really gained by being the greatest country. There is no prize that benefits the population. The trophy is a farce.
2. The rubric of national greatness has not been set. It surely does not go to the nation that says it the most. As we lend construction to the rubric, measurements such as murder-rate, poverty, opportunity, social support, justice etc...leave America behind several nations.
3. Obvoius social failures, as mentioned by Acombfosho, seem to be blindly accepted as simple justice issues get flushed down the American toilet.
It's not so much that your country is off-kilter, it's that most Americans don't think so, or they are confused and without voice.
It's sad because yours is a foundation of liberty, opportunity, and truth. The world looked to you as a beacon of hope for decades. Perhaps it's just me but things seem to be changing?

What are you talking about? What law would one be breaking? If the only law is to not move the money around then how is playing with pretend money at this point going to do anything?

This forum isn't a competition about who has the best country.
