Seeing as how we are on an International forum......I believe it is important to get the wording correct.
Huge difference between Machine-Gun and Guns. (unless the guy's native language is not English)

This is how the rest of the world gets confused about what the heck is going on in the US with its ONLINE POKER laws (and the rest of the issues).

Facts and words do matter.

Furthermore, I would expect the guy who made the original untrue statement to explain what he believes -- not someone else to conveniently translate what he was saying to fit the argument. Strange.

EDIT: I think everyone is clear now that we cannot legally buy machine-guns in the US. Just wanted to make that absolutely clear.

Vote on what things? UIGEA? Republicans attached it to the a must-pass bill (safeport act). There was no vote on it.

I think that is BS then. I don't agree with things that go on in the gov't today. I live in a state where the public isn't allowed to know what they(elected officials) are voting on in the state gov't.
I live in a state that says it is Christian and Republican in numbers and I don't agree with them on most things. Saying all Christians are the same is like saying everyone in the US belives the same stuff.

Utah is not big on the constitution from what I have seen. Basic US laws are not even big here. Hell they don't even drive like people in the other 49 states. If a Mormon becomes president of the USA I will leave or shoot myself. THey are trying really hard to take over btw people. If you think old school Chistians suck just wait till Mit Romnet or someone gets in office.

People who think the news is the best source for truth crack me up. I think it is funny how Europe makes fun of us for being so clueless about them but just as many of them have no real idea about what it is like here. It is just too easy to bitch about us now days.

Maybe he watches Sons of Guns on Discovery. They seem to make and/or have clients with machine guns. I've only seen it a few times though.
