I seriously dislike the Political Correct (P.C.) attitudes that attack religious groups on this forum (while others just smile about it). These are the same cowards that would not dare say (or post) anything against Muslims or other groups that may have seriously questionable beliefs or doings (IMO).
Grow up. Everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe. Don't mess with people's religions. It does not make you cool.
NOTE: be very clear. I am not a Christian or Jew (not even close to being either), but some of my family and friends are religious (and I respect that). I myself do not believe in bashing any religious group -- except for the one that scam-artist Pope Al Gore is in charge of.
AND I still want to know where we are able to buy machine-guns that lingo-net says are legal in the US. That was a completely silly statement -- that seemed to go right over the heads of the P.C. crowd.
EDIT: yeah, I get that people are pissed off about not being able to play online poker. I am too. I still have not decided if Black-Friday was a good or bad thing for me personally. It has definitely put me in a situation of re-evaluating my direction (and how I spend all of my new free time).

Yeah, most dictators have thought this same thing. They feel that it dilutes their ability to control everyone with their own systems/beliefs.
But I am curious. Do you believe we "can buy machine guns" in the US? If so, that is a kind of "retarded" (your term) way of promoting online poker. Because it is not true.
If you want to promote "online poker", you have to do it in a much smarter way.
Imagine if the PPA went and bashed religion to the public -- in order to get legislation passed. INSTANT FAIL guaranteed. Do not publicly bash other people's religions (anymore than you would bash someone in public over their sexual preference).

I think we are getting derailed guys. No one is ever going to win or be convinced in a religious or political argument. Let's try to keep it to constructive conversation regarding the events of April 15 and everything after.
Here is an article where Steve Wynn offers his perspective on internet poker and some other topics:

They're retarded too.
Grow up. Everyone has a right to believe what they want to believe. Don't mess with people's religions. It does not make you cool.
And I, and everyone else, have a right to critique them. It has nothing to do with making my self look cool. Religion is detrimental to modern day society, at the least the literal-fundamentalist type.
NOTE: be very clear. I am not a Christian or Jew (not even close to being either), but some of my family and friends are religious (and I respect that). I myself do not believe in bashing any religious group -- except for the one that scam-artist Pope Al Gore is in charge of.
You seem to do this a lot; make at least one hypocritical and/or condescending statement in your posts.

I'm indifferent to gun control laws personally. I doubt a total ban would work in the United States though because of the large number of them already here.

lol when did I ever say that hahah

haha when was I arguing that online poker should be promoted through religion bashing or that the PPA should do that publicly? I was just stating how how dumb and delusional religion is. And people's diverse sexual preferences don't harm anyone and don't impose on others' personal liberty. And if their sexual preferences were harming other people, they need to be critiqued and pointed out.

Yeah. Guilty. For the sake of honesty, I was just qualifying my statement that I do not believe in bashing any religion (a bit of sarcastic humor to avoid being too serious).

And you STILL ignored that this guy claims .......as his argument for ONLINE POKER........that we can legally buy machine-guns in the US. This is absolutely not true. But we should never let the facts confuse us, right? I actually wonder if people believe this garbage.

You're too caught up in the fact that he used the word "machine." Yeah, you can't buy machine guns. But the point he was making was that you can buy like shot guns and semi-automatic rifles, but can't play online poker. I think any responsible adult should be allowed to do both, but if one was to be outlawed, the by far most dangerous of the two (shot guns and semi-automatic rifles) should be.

Republicans passed the UIGEA man
Moreover, "liberal" is a pretty general term. There's a big difference between fiscally liberal/conservative and socially liberal/conservative. People who are socially liberal want the government to stay out people's personal lives. People who are socially conservative want to impose their retarded morals on everyone and constrict individual liberty.
Maybe with how much this countries system has gone to pot, I maybe be wrong but don't both sides vote on these things?
I am socially liberal to a point and fiscally conservative. My point is that 90% of people who say they belive in Christ have no idea what that means and thus screw it up.

I think civilians can legally buy semi-automatic versions of assault rifles and submachine guns. I'm pretty sure it isn't hard to modify them.
People probably even sell semi-automatic to fully-automatic conversion kits online.
It is probably super illegal though, there is probably no difference between purchasing/owning fully-automatic weapons.

So if one third believe that the Bible is true word for word.. Then we are in a really tight spot.
What do we do?
The Bible says it is all real. THere are a few issues with it being translated into English for sure. Over all it isn't a huge factor. The issue is that 90% of what most people think it says and they way they take what it says is wrong. Most people are morons. Just take a look at a bell curve on IQs. You can have the same issue and we do with our constitution. The biggest issue this country is facing, is that the news started telling us we are a Democracy and this is a quick road to a dead country.

I don't believe any religion is above criticism, some more than others. I'll agree that just calling them retarded gets nowhere though.

Well it depends on what he meant by "machine gun".
I think his point though, was the seemingly arbitrary way in which the government restricts personal freedoms, which I would have to agree with, though his statement about being able to legally buy machine guns is probably wrong; again depending on his definition of the term.

Vote on what things? UIGEA? Republicans attached it to the a must-pass bill (safeport act). There was no vote on it.
