Baluga - if you click on your name in your hud stats, it will show you your total +/- for the session. Not like I check it every 40 seconds or anything... That way you dont have to look @ each table and do maths...

Could you expand on bet sizing when our opponents are in call or fold/raise or fold spots and maybe provide some common examples?
great video and tyia

well, to quickly deal with it--
the smaller we make it, the more our opponent will get out of raise-fold and into call-fold. so, when our opponent is in raise-fold mode we want to make it as small as possible, and when our opponent is in call-fold mode we want to make it as big as possible!
Usually.

Baluga, Can you put yourself in the shoe's of BB here and talk about how you would construct your flatting/3betting range here? I understand that he should want to keep the fish in the hand the majority of the time, but he is oop to two people. For instance w/ JJ here it is going to be hard to get much value postflop. Shouldn't the fact that you are isolating light cause him to widen his 3bet value range and capitalize on the money in the pot and his preflop advantage of being ahead of your iso range?

I think he can bluff more frequently, and probably get thin value with JJ, but with most things that are playable hes just going to make much more off the mistakes of the fish than my mistakes. Bluffing in his shoes there is really not bad, though.

On the AK vs dude who overcalled your 3B, you bet the 888 flop small for thin value. If he peels AQ it still seems like your not getting value because since your bet's thin you are giving up the turn unimproved and he can bluff AQ and value bet a pair. So I guess I'm asking if its more like a thin bluff/semi-bluff. Do you ever just check-call there because he will bluff AQ more than check behind given that if you call he can take free cards later?
i think its ok to c/c with Q9/QT/KT vs certain people for sure. id be more inclined to bet 55 than 67s if checked to me but i probably would wait until the turn like always, and maybe i just wouldnt bet at all depending on who the guy was. this is something i take notes on tho.
Andrew
Ok. Personally I would be afraid my hand becomes face up when I c/c these kind of board textures against people who are able to just handread a little. I often end up c/c'ing flop and check/folding blank turns.
Would it be an idea to plan som barreling with QT in JT9 against regs(maybe nits) to make them fold TP hands like QJ, KJ, AJ?

CR the flop seemed much too strong on that flop* (but vs weaker players it's got to be much better, considering it's deep, right?).
While it got less and less likely given the runout, I wanted to give Mr Seidman a chance to come over the top on the river. For a moment, I thought I might win a stack of prized baluga chips ![]()
*I didn't know if he'd noticed me stack condom boy with Q2s a few hands previously, else I realised I prob looked rather nitty.

i think if he calls AQ he checks it down more often than not

lol so you snap happily on a rivered spade? i suppose vs me it can't be too bad.
I didn't see the Q2s hand tho! and ya i think that c/r flop is better vs most people. You played it pretty well vs me though, though maybe waiting till the river to raise is best!

or even just check calling down, now that I think about it.

Looking forward to more videos vs spazzy regs.
Hi BW,
Really like the vid. You've been an advocate before of never flatting 3-bets out of position given 100bb stacks, yet you do it in this video. I assume you've changed your views on this subject, why? It'd be interesting if you could discuss a bit more about flatting 3-bets oop and the right spots to do it.
Thanks!
