Hey guys,

So my next series for DC is entitled: Real Life: SSNL/MSNL HU NL Grinder. It premiers on Sept. 9th, so whoever I choose and I will have to get going on this here pretty quickly. The series will be 8 videos, approximately an hour each. The series will essentially work in a manner similar to my 10 hour coaching package. Depending on how the student learns we will do some combination of general gameplan/theory/specific topic discussion, HH reviews, video reviews, and live sweat sessions. For the sake of variety, we will do at least a little bit of each of these over the course of the season.

For some additional information on how my coaching program generally works, check out my coaching page: http://www.deucescracked.com/coaches/Gman

Requirements:

*Your main HU game has to be 1/2 or 2/4NL. Yes it is okay if you are primarily a MSNL/HSNL 6-max player and are fairly new to HU and as such are playing the aforementioned limits.

*You must be comfortable/good on video. By this I mean you must have reasonable social skills, speak perfect English, and not be intimidated by the fact that a lot of people will be watching your progress and listening to your thought process develop over time.

*You must be reasonably skilled w/ Camtasia. Because you will actually be doing a lot of the video recording (video reviews/sweat sessions), I need this to not be an issue. You also obviously need a headset, skype, teamviewer, and a very reliable internet connection.

*If you have been coached by me before, you cannot participate (even though I love you guys). Furthermore, if you have had extensive HU coaching already, you also cannot participate. If you had only a couple 1-1 sessions, that's fine

*You must be able start immediately. Although all of our sessions will be set up ahead of time, you also need to have a reasonably flexible schedule. On the same note, you need to not be that guy who is irresponsible or likely to cancel an appointment.

I realize I may have sounded a bit harsh in the requirements. But you are getting >$3500 worth of free coaching, so I figure I may as well be selective about it.

What you need to do:

Write me one paragraph telling me about your poker game. It can include a bit of background, but mostly just tell me about your HU game as it stands today. Feel free to discuss # of hands played, levels, winrates, past areas of weakness and/or strength, and anything else you think might help me to get a better feel for where your game is currently at. But do your best to be concise.

Write me another paragraph telling me why I should pick you. Your response should discuss what about you/your game will make for a more informative/enjoyable viewing experience for DC members.

Also include s/n's for any site you have a good amount of volume on that can be tracked by TR. Don't worry, I don't care about your winrate, I only want to see that you play the correct limits.

Please post your responses in this thread or in one of the other 2 forums this is posted in. Applications can be submitted until I feel like I have found my guy, so the earlier you post, the better.

Thanks in advance to everyone who takes the time to post an application.

Yes please Smile

I play 6max at the moment, 2/4-3/6 on Stars.

I was in the first of Vanessa's Duck Soup vids. Got good reviews and no complaints about my social skills or language. I'm Norwegian, but my English is pretty gosh darn good.

I can start whenever and have a very flexible schedule. Never used Camtasia, but I have used other video recording software and I'm good with computers (well above average).

My poker game: I'm a decent winner, but still improving for sure. I've been working really hard on my game the last couple of months and intend to keep doing that. My HU game isn't as good as my 6max game. I haven't played a ton of HU, but put in around 20k hands, mainly playing regulars at 1/2 and a bit at 2/4 to work on my game and think about poker. Long story short, I'm alright, but not great at HU. I consider myself a good thinking 6max player. I can write more about my current game if you want, but I don't want to make this post too long.

You should pick me because: I want to get better, I want to win and I will work to achieve my goals. I think about poker in a fairly good way I think. I will ask questions and try to learn by understanding, this could help others as well. I'm a fairly active member of the forums here. My vid with Vanessa got good ratings and people seemed to enjoy it, mainly because of Vanessa I'm sure, but at least I can participate in vids and have them not suck.

My Stars name is: knsch (if having a cool screen name is part of your decision making process I suppose I'm out)

Hope that I will be considered Smile Again, if you want more info on me just pm me or something. If you don't pick me, good luck with the series!

Seemed like too good an offer to not shoot for.

I play 6max 2/4- 5/10 on euro sites. Been fulltime for 4 years. Got involved via home games, donkament win, spinup, busto. Did that a few times. Reasonably high online profile in the uk, last year or so been dappling in hu. Im actually up a decent chunk which i found suprising, but a smallish sample (150k hands or something). HU my strengths are getting inside players heads and understanding their thought process quickly. My weaknesses are my betting patterns/general lines for HU play, being uncomfortable with marginal holdings/not having a scooby what to do.

Pick me because- im quite sharp and have a dry sense of humour that your members will appreciate, i am a very personable social type and im pretty malleable. Being new to hu combined with my willingness to learn makes me ideal material for the progressive structure of your outlined strategy series.

all the best, Alex

Not sure I'm qualified, but I'm not one to pass up a free roll.

I play 1/2 six max, I've been playing for about a year and a half, living off poker. I don't really play HU, but I've watched about 4 DC series on it, and for a few months I always started tables (which always HU for a few minutes). Folding would be my weakness, and hand reading my strength.

The following are reason why you should pick me.

1) I have stable internet, and I have an air card as backup.
2) I've got a pretty decent computer/headset, and have already made a video for the micro guys (which is a small file, and rather perfect video)http://www.deucescracked.com/forums/22-Member-Videos/27134-25NL-video-30min
3) I have no commitments to anyone/thing, so I'm as reliable and available as they come.
4) I'm committed to helping people, I've always been an active member at this site and a rather notable part of the community.
5) Lastly I'm committed and motivated, I have a 6max coach right now and I'm focusing on hitting 5/10 before the year is through, whether it's in 6max or HU is up to you.
I play on full tilt and my handle is "Malefiicus"

Anyway, hope this wasn't a complete waste of your time.
