I am guessing the SB has made a hand by his strength on the turn. By a hand, I'd suspect a set.

However, the stats are so crazy that I think he might be trying to steal with force.

I call the river against this loose player because of no history. Otherwise I'd consult my history but mostly I'm calling here.

Against a tight player I'm folding the river here. You're toast to an overpair, set or AQ. Any of which he could have checked on the flop with and started firing on the turn.

I guess it all comes down to range-determination of the SB. He could have QJ, Q10. I'm sure that's in his range.

I think he would check-call ou check-raise the flop if you bet, because you where the PF raiser and he could think you would lead post flop after his check.

As Doh say, he look like to have a made hand, I dont think you beat anything there, he lead the turn and your raise dont seem to affraid him.. also he look like he want you to call the turn with this light 3-bet.

Imo, fold river.

Also a fold on turn is also an option.. Balugua theorem, TPTK doesnt do good against a big raise on the turn (ok its not a big raise, but I still a 3 bet)

As played I would fold.

I think though, if you're not going to cbet this, and hit your queen, I'd just call this turn and re-evaluate on the river. He could be trying to take it down since you didn't cbet, he could also have a weak queen and mindlessly bet because he now has top pair. I'd definately just pick the turn bet off and maybe one on the river depending.

When you raise here on the turn, you're essentially turning your hand into a bluff, not much worse he'll call you with, even a weak queen he might wanna fold. If he's bluffing let him do it, if he's trying to value bet you may still have him beat. As played, you get more money in there, and are faced with a tough decision unnecessarily.

i agree with somnius that the better line is to check call. i raised b/c i wanted to charge for draws and punish 1 pair hands with a SMALL raise. but there aren't really any draws and the 1 pair hands are few and far between and unlikely to even call a small check raise.

as played, i was really on the fence about making the call on the river. i ended up going with his stats and when the timer ran down pretty far i decided to call. villian had 44 and i raked in the pot. really not sure if i made the right call, i decided to post here.

If you have a "read" on him that he might be doing plays like this with weird holdings then call, you have top pair and are getting better then 2:1. Just call if you're beating his range at least like 30% of the time or so.

As for charging draws on the turn, really wouldn't worry about it, you're giving him more then 3:1 with that raise to call, he can pretty much call with straight odds profitably...not many draws out there anyway really, doubt he'd just bet out the turn because he now has a flush draw.
