Hey all,
Was just thinking of firing up camtasia to record a little something. Wasn't sure what format to go for so I thought I'd throw it out here to see what you find most helpful.
Possible vid formats
- Standard Live Play
- HH review of my hands
- HH review of your hands
- Video replay + commentary
- Anything else you guys could suggest
Threads13 and myself might team up on a vid or two soon (have to check, think he is still in Vegas ATM) so shoot here with all your ideas and thoughts.
I like the thought of you guys sending HH but sometimes its difficult to get volunteers for hands.
Let me know what you think.

I would like to see some videos on beating .01/.02 and .02/.05 NLHE FR and 6max -- but especially FR, since that's probably a better format for beginning players.
I think a three section video format would be very conducive to foundational learning, especially in contrast to all the advanced concepts taught that make some beginning players focus too much on advanced plays past what's really the most EV at the lower levels.
In the first section, give an overview of how to beat these levels -- what to do and WHY that works; and also stress what NOT to do and WHY.
In the second section, have some live play action, with no more than two tables, since a lot of viewers this would help might have trouble following more than one or two tables (these videos would not be primarily for the advanced multi-tabling players, so boredom isn't an issue).
In the third section, go over in a hard replayer several hands from the live play session that illustrate and reinforce what players should do and what they should not do at these levels.
I think these types of videos at these levels would fill a missing hole in the videos offered and be a lot more valued by a lot more people than a lot of coaches suspect.
Please do these types of videos. A series would be great. Thanks.

there is a vid series called _to nit or not to nit_, good for beginners imo.

I had an idea of a video concentrating on position play. Thought about doing it myself for the contest thing DC had going on, but things got in the way and it probably would only make like a good 4 part series.
The concept would concentrate around both play from and playing against players in each position probably grouped together. Like EP (UTG & UTG+1) for 1 video, MP, CO/button, and blinds play.
I think that would make a good series.

All good stuff guys, keep it coming, make your voice heard here because I will make sure Joe sees this thread for considering future content.
There is such a wide variety of ideas here which is great, I'm leaning towards the idea of a vid where you guys send me HH that you have played and find tough/interesting.
That should allow everyone making specific requests here to submit a good example or two of what they want to see.

a vid only about 3betting and getting 3bet in FR games would be great (HH review)
Comprehensive on 3B pots:
* when to 3B, when to call 3B, when to 4B
* IP/OOP
* Relative Position: Blinds vs EP,MP,LP, LP vs EP,MP,CO, MP vs EP,Ep vs MP,LP,Blinds etc
* Player type: aggrodonk,station,nit,reg
* By level: micros, SS, MS, HS
* Stats: Fold to 3B, Fold to CB
* whatever else
* Assume HH review

Seems that 3-betting in general is a theme here, I think a bunch of this is covered in "Professor Plotkin" which is really heavily math based - but thats what you gotta do.
Of course I will still explain the math at some point for you guys, just wouldnt want to spend all our FR time replaying theory material thats already superbly covered.

I think "filosophy" behind 3-betting / calling 3-bets / and 4-betting could be interesting topics too. Offcourse also math, but things like what is recommended nuts:air ratio when 3-betting (standard fullring player maybe has this is like 100:0
) and how you should play against different ranges when facing 3-bets.
+ talking about should you polarize or not your 3-betting range and what difference it makes? 4-bet bluffing, bluffraising players who 3-bet lot and c-bet 100% flops etc.
