I designed the preflop plan mostly as a starting point for new FR players against a typical soft lineup. In tighter games, it definitely makes sense to loosen up your preflop ranges.

i can't believe how loose the games were a few years ago
I was thinking this just the other day when I was looking for decent tables ie. it is a lot harder to find "good" tables now.
I think the basic strategy still works pretty much fine as a starting point but table selection is more important and it pays to be patient in order to try and target players who look look likely to give up their whole stack at some stage in the session.
