Villain is loosish and I've seen him around before. No specific reads other than that. The river is the big question but I'm interested to hear thoughts on the flop and turn as well.

Only hands I can put V on are AAxx, AKQx, maybe 55 and playing uber cautiously hoping you check behind on river and not to lose too much if this is a set over set occasion. Do people this high play hands containing 55 OOP? Could be on the NFD, but as played, doesn't fit into a LAG style esp if he has flopped a pair to go along with it. If he IS on a FD, either NFD or Q-high FD, he'll obv fold this river which would make your bluff good as he could be putting you on QJT9, AKQT, AJT9 or some sort of high wraps with a FD which would go along with your line.

I would check back river. But then again, I'm very TAG. I don't like the river bet as you have the chance to check back here and, imo, cut your losses if he is anticipating you pushing the river and calls you down. Even if he's going to c/f the river here, I can't see this being profitable over the long run. Does he fold this more than two-thirds the time?

What were you attempting on the flop? Were you thinking a donk bet could get V off his hand? After he check/calls, and checks the turn, are you thinking a larger bet could get him to fold? This deep, I don't think a NFD & SD would be folding. Depending on his other two cards, I don't see AA folding here either. What range do you put V on after c/c flop and checked turn? Are you putting him on AA w/ NFD and attempting to rep something very strong like a set w/ FD and or NSD? Do you think he could have AAQx, AATx with the ADiamond and another Diamond? Does your range for him change here with the c/c on turn?

I'm very curious as to your thought process on each street as it seems you're taking a very aggro line.
Please explain your thoughts here.

I think the river is good. Isn't it standard or even necessary to bet here, I mean at least sometimes, right?

It seems like any marginal hand he could look you up with probably should/could have raised earlier in the hand and if he just got there I doubt he's giving you the opportunity to check behind. This could be one of those times where it matters more what he thinks of you and if he's capable of letting you bet his hand for him. Unless it's like 9Txdxd that didn't want to jam or bet/fold the river, idk.

As played I think he's folding >50% of the time to your 3 barrel so nh regardless.
