Was delayed from today, we Facebooked and Tweeted about it a few days ago but I figured I'd add one more bump here.

Takes a few seconds to fill out the email-form:

Called my Congressman and they said it wasn't on the schedule for today.

edit - thought it was being voted on today. It's just a committee hearing. My Congressman isn't on that committee.

noticing the lack of posts in this thread, I just hope all you american players realize how important this stuff is. That is if you value your right to play poker online. Don't sit on the sidelines and do nothing.

Pretty sure that will pretty much never happen but it'll certainly be interesting to see how things develop

Definitely interesting to watch. My congressman isn't on the committee, but his office has been hearing from me anyway.

So they added an amendment to this bill which would bar PS and FTP from obtaining licenses if this passes into law. What are the implications of that for us? Also, is the vote this afternoon a full House vote? And do we have any Senate activity on this?

I dont think this right? did i miss this somehow? i understood that they would be able to obtain a license as long it is based in the US?

I hope this bill doesn't end up like France or Italy and ring fence the US market with high rake.

Anybody able to give cliff notes on that aspect?

Spencer Bacchus proposed an amendment and it was passed to the effect that sites which have been accepting US players against the wishes of the feds will be barred from applying for licensing. Perhaps that is up for interpretation, but it was intended to punish sites like Stars and FTP.
