I'm taking a shot at $0.50/$1! It helps when there's a maniac at the table who seems to think that we're flipping instead of playing. Thanks for capping 76o ui on every street when I have the nuts!

Right, done with poker for the day. Funny suited hand as promised, what's going on with all these aggressives checking behind turns to me today I ask you? The river ace i decided it better to bet than doing a sexy because It's easier to get raised on.

And Lysistrata defo not dumb good conclusion on the hand. The math thing is more me trying to push myself a bit to do it so i at least know how. The hand probably doesn't warrant it at 50/1 but hoping to play higher soon Grin

Good News: I played cash and had great success not looking at my stack!

Bad News: I had a weird $.75 bet that I had to make when I had a huge 2 pair hand, and I was like "Wat, is the other guy all in or something?" But it turned out that I was all in!@!

Major missed value lol >.<

But I'm kinda pleased actually that I was REALLY that un-aware of my stack size ^.^

(Yes I will turn on Auto-Rebuy now >.> )

PS: omg barf, my Stars bankroll is down to like $75 now o_o You think I should stop playing .50/1 lol? ^.^ I can't move down to .25/.50 turbo hell so I'd have to go all the way back to .10/.20 >.>

Might have to move some of my SnG profits over from FTP lol!

Adri

Just me but, I think at the level of bankroll we're talking about it may be wise to keep it on 1 site. The games at 0.25/0.5 and 0.5/1 aren't so terrible that you need money on 2 sites to find good games and getting caught short and having to move money is a pain in the ass but if you're ok with it that's fine.

Good to hear about the no peeking Smile

Is anyone up for an improptu meeting tonight, I'm gonna have some steam to blow off I think since new limits beckon Smile

Meeting sounds good.

A nice way to start 1/2. The only problem i could see if either play is really tight with calls or 3Bing and if that's the case raise more Grin If it's a btn raise I generally respect it a lot less suppose it depends on the player. Maybe a little you're being reverse results orientated?hehe nh imo

Sure

UTG raise is obviously standard. UTG+1 is terror-bad in BBB's terminology. The Button is actually pretty good from what I could tell. he was on the loosish side of TAG, very aggro post flop but that may simply have been from running good due to the amount of hands I have on him.

The button's range for 3-banging pre-flop there should be VERY strong. He should know I'm not a complete lunatic (according to HEM I was playing about 33/25 at the time so not tremendously out of line). Capping is certainly an option but I'm out of position vs a very strong range and I'm actually in pretty good relative position to get action in post-flop vs an aggressive opponent. If I felt the Button was a Hyper-LAG or was just flat out bad, OR the UTG+1 player may fold for 2 more I'd cap here and look to show down most of the time however none of those circumstances apply.

Flop Check-Raise is standard becasue I'd raise a lot of non-jack hands on this board but both protection and value. When he 3-bets he's pretty much always got an Overpair or, as came to mind later, is making a daft as shit play with AK/AQ which is something I've seen before.

If he's got an overpair he's betting the turn come what may and if I cap the flop unless he's an idiot he's not raising the turn when I lead. So vs an overpair best line is Call 3-bet, check raise turn.

If he does have AK he may very well free card me on the turn and that would suck so vs AK, obviously, best line is cap flop and hope he finds an excuse to call down.

In retrospect I think it's fine becasue he hasn't shown ANY tendency whatsoever so far to free card so c/r turn is probably the better line overall now I think about it. Plus obviously when i hit quads he may decide that his full house has somehow miraculously become good and spew. Trouble is I gave the game away a little since I don't think there's much on that board that a TAG (i.e. me) with raise which isn;t the stone cold nuts after the prior street's action

Hi guys, Poker Stars runs on EASTERN time, which means it is GMT-4.

Right now it is:

Eastern: 1:30pm
Stars: 13:30 military
GMT: 5:30pm
Boomer: 6:30pm

In any event, it might just be easiest to say 'blah blah blah o' clock by the Stars clock' and run with that.
