TARGET AUDIENCE: I mainly envision this class for students with some pre-existing poker knowledge base and experience who are struggling to beat 50NL or 100NL. I think it's going to be a good deal and a lot of fun! Feel free to post your questions here or email me at sootedpower@deucescracked.com.

SEATS: 6

CONTENT: 12+ hours of coaching instruction. 5 group lessons and 2 individual lessons. Each week we'll do a 2-hour group session that will consist of a theory discussion (led by moi), hand history reviews, and review of a video that I will make of my play at 50NL and 100NL (you watch and come to the session prepared to discuss).

During the last two weeks, you'll have an individual lesson with me to work on the specifics of your game in addition to our group lesson. These sessions will be flexible and we will structure them as needed.

SCHEDULE: The first class will start as soon as I get 6 people on board and run for five weeks. I will try to accomodate people's schedules in setting the time, so contact me and see if your schedule will fit.

REQUIREMENTS: All you'll need is skype, a headset, and a willingness to put forth some effort! There will be homework assignments, so come prepared to work hard -- you'll reap the rewards!

PRICE: $350

SIGN UP: Send me an email at sootedpower@deucescracked.com

SYLLABUS

Session 1: Learning to Learn

Coaching is a big step, but no coach can spoon feed you. In this session I will introduce you to the tools of analyzing your play, gathering information during your sessions, and improving your game both in and outside of lessons.

Session 2: The Optimal Preflop Style is . . . +EV

There is no optimal preflop “style!” In this lesson we’ll focus preflop ranges and how to adjust them based on table conditions – when you should play loose and when you should play tighter. Also include in our discussion will be 3betting and calling ranges.

Session 3: Playing Postflop with the Initiative

Don’t get into a rut of cbetting and folding. In this session we’ll learn how NOT to build pots for our opponents to win! We’ll talk about cbetting ranges, barreling ranges, valuebetting ranges, reacting to donkbets and more.

Session 4: Playing Postflop Without the initiative

Very few 50/100NL players incorporate floats into their game. In this session we’ll discuss how to win pots without the initiative -- and why position often trumps “initiative”!

Session 5: No Concept Left Behind

In this session we will continue our theory discussion of postflop play, putting together everything we’ve learned thusfar. I’ll also get feedback from the group on concepts you want to discuss that we haven't gone over or maybe didn't quite grasp the first time.

Deposit: To reserve your spot in the course, I ask for a $150 deposit that is refundable until the course fills up. At this time, the deposit becomes non-refundable. The remaining course fee ($200) will be due at that time.

I can reccomend doing this course if you're a microstakes player looking move to small stakes. He kinda owns.

(even if he does say 'right' at the end of every sentence Smile)

Sootedpower, what's your current rate for individual coaching for a 50nl player? And what would you recommend someone who has never had any coaching before but has watched a lot of vids etc.? Group coaching or individual coaching?

My individual rate for 50NL and below is $75, but I give 20% discounts on packages, so my effective rate for lessons is $60/hr.

Think of it this way -- if you do the course, you get 2 individual lessons (a $120 value) then the remaining $230 of the $350 fee gets you 10+ hrs of instruction, so basically $23/hr. Plus you get a ghost video each week from me that we discuss in class, so that's another 5 hours of instruction Smile

I would strongly recommend the group to anyone who has initiative and a bit of gumption to ask questions. As long as you are willing to put in the effort finding areas in your game you'd like to improve and asking questions within the group setting, I think it's a great value.

I would assume 6max because he is looking for 6 players. But I could be wrong.. Who knows Sooted may even mix it up a little bit and throw some Full Ring in it to test you. Good Luck!

Is this for 6max or FR?

It's focused for 6max and I can highly recommend it.
