WOOT WOOT...It's my favorite month of the year! NCAA basketball, Lake Tahoe, Harvey's Casino, Terp and Goofyballer.

If you aren't lucky enough to be in Tahoe, California to watch the NCAA basketball tournament with me, you can, however, join my 50NL/100NL March coaching group. Below is a detailed syllabus.

***As an added bonus in honor of March Madness, if you can tell me the name of my favorite North Carolina basketball player, the starting shooting guard for the 1995-1996 North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team, I'll knock $25 off your course fee.***

TARGET AUDIENCE: I mainly envision this class for students with some pre-existing poker knowledge base and experience who are struggling to beat 50NL or 100NL. I think it's going to be a good deal and a lot of fun! Feel free to post your questions here or email me.

SEATS: 6

CONTENT: 12+ hours of coaching instruction. 5 group lessons and 2 individual lessons. Each week we'll do a 2-hour group session that will consist of a theory discussion (led by moi), hand history reviews, and review of a video that I will make of my play at 50NL and 100NL (you watch and come to the session prepared to discuss).

During the last two weeks, you'll have an individual lesson with me to work on the specifics of your game in addition to our group lesson. These sessions will be flexible and we will structure them as needed.

SCHEDULE: The first class will start as soon as I get 6 people on board and run for five weeks. I will try to accomodate people's schedules in setting the time, so contact me and see if your schedule will fit.

REQUIREMENTS: All you'll need is skype, a headset, and a willingness to put forth some effort! There will be homework assignments, so come prepared to work hard -- you'll reap the rewards!

PRICE: $350

SIGN UP: Send me an email at sootedpower@deucescracked.com

SYLLABUS

Session 1: The Optimal Preflop Style is . . . +EV

There is no optimal preflop “style!” In this lesson we’ll focus preflop ranges and how to adjust them based on table conditions – when you should play loose and when you should play tighter. Also include in our discussion will be 3betting and calling ranges.

Session 2: Playing Postflop with the Initiative

Don’t get into a rut of cbetting and folding. In this session we’ll learn how NOT to build pots for our opponents to win! We’ll talk about cbetting ranges, barreling ranges, valuebetting ranges, reacting to donkbets and more.

Session 3: Playing Postflop Without the initiative

Very few 50/100NL players incorporate floats into their game. In this session we’ll discuss how to win pots without the initiative -- and why position often trumps “initiative”!

Session 4: ZOMG HUD!

You can certainly acquire useful reads from your HUD, but many of the best reads don’t come from stats at all. In this session we’ll talk about acquiring more advanced reads on our opponents.

Session 5: Putting It All Together

In this session we will discuss postflop play generally, putting together everything we’ve learned thusfar. I’ll get feedback from the group on specifics they want to address and we’ll go over a mishmash of postflop strategy.

I highly recommend this course to any player - struggling or not - at the 50nl and 100nl level. I was one of his February students and I learned some great concepts from the course.

[x] well worth the money imo

A point guard is the player that always brings the ball down court while a shooting guard could on occasion can be a point guard but for the most part he runs immediately down court and position himself to either take a shot or pass the ball to an open teammate. Of course when the point guard finds that he is open he could opt to take the shot himself.

e.g. Point guard - Magic Johnson, Shooting Guard - Kobe Bryant

Not Shammond, but another good guess Smile He did once score 42 points in a game for UNC, but he wasn't the starter that season.

LOL @ sir Charles. What a clown.

Not Jeff McInnis either. He was too busy banging Phil Ford's wife to be my favorite.
