Do you really think that 2-5 sessions will be enought to "eliminate tilt"?

I just can't believe that, cause I'm a notorious tilter (I just like to view myself as one of the worst tilters on my limit at all).
Screaming and swearing is a big problem, but I even destroyed my desk (beautiful hole in it, can send you pictures if you want ^^), several keyboards and computer-mice.

I watched/heard Tommy Angelos series for several times, read parts of "Your Worst Poker Enemy" and "The Poker Mindset" (never finished one of them though... damn, I just suck hard) which helped me a lot in the short run, but didn't change that much in the long run.

The video program isn't a good alternative for me, cause I couldn't even motivate myself to listen to the memoirs of aejones (plus I didn' read the new chapters in Baluga's book, shame on me!)...

And my mother tongue isn't english, do you think that is a problem (my english is ok, I think, but I'm not used to all the technical terms of psychology)?

Please answer honestly Grin

MindGuru - can you further explain why/what you did with fabian leads you to believe that you are the reason why he went from winning 70k in 1 year to 800k?

I'm currently considering a mental game coach to help me put in more volume

Poemmel, you want an honest answer hey??
Firstly, by the sounds of things, 100 session wont get you to eliminate tilt because you are too lazy to put the work in.If you arent prepared to focus on implementing new ideas and routines to help you eliminate Tilt, its doesnt matter if I have the best information in the world, nothing will change.
Saying that, I dont talk about technical psychological terms, as I believe it only complictaes matters, but once I explain to you in a simple and understandable way, why ypou tilt so hard and how to eliminate it, you maybe surprised how easy it is.
But please, dont touch base with me for a session until you are 100% ready to commit, otherwise you will be wasting our time and your money!
Good Luck!!

JG

One of the biggest things that Fabian thought helped him was creating some consistent routines and structure within his game. We made sure he had 1 day off after every 3 days of playing and also helped him to raise the number of hands he played with his A Game. He obv continued to improve his technical game, but he felt the mental game was where his biggest leak was, and he was a true professional in regards to committing to this side of the game.
Increasing volume is important for a lot of players, so we go through goal setting and other components that help motivation, but it has to be long term sustainable, which is where most players go wrong.

Good Luck and let me know if you have any further questions.

Thats what I wanted Smile
Really a very honest answer!
Thanks a lot!

I will work on my lazyness and will try to see the whole poker thing more serious.
I read the Leatherass book "Treat your Poker like a Business" at the moment, which really motivates me a lot.
Plus I will visit some poker friends at the end of this month that live in a really great penthouse, if thats not motivating I don't know what is Wink

I'll put a lot of work into that (cause its basically the biggest leak I have by far) and come back once I'm ready!

Thanks a lot, again!
Another big motivation for me Smile

I am in the process of doing that now. Making a quality video takes time as I found out, so will spend some time over the next week or 10 days submitting one. Hopefully you guys will get to see it in the next few weeks.

Sorry for the delay, its a very time consuming processSmile

Wowow - just think about the pressure you all put upon JG to make a real great video - and to make it real fast. I guess we should give him some time to get things done in a calm manner. Smile

To be honest with you guys, I submitted a video and it was rushed and of ordianry quality, so I am taking my time to create a high quality Mental Game video. Have some good ideas that I look forward to putting in a Video and it will be about how we access specific emotional states.
Vert similar to Inception and how to access dreams, but in a emotional/poker related way.

Look forward to showing it to you guys and it will be completed and hopefully released by the end of September.

Just to confirm with everyone after the unfortunate circumstances in regards to my video series, that if anyone is interested in coaching, to please PM me about details.
If you have any questions, you can post them in this thread or start a new thread-ATT MindGuru as I will not be placing coaching offers etc etc on DC but will still respond to forum questions and be a contributor on the forum when I can.

Thanks and Good luck.
