Villain is competent but a bit overaggro and a bit of a station. My flop call here is pretty standard vs. most opponents this deep. I can steal the pot on a lot of turns if he checks but against this guy, it might be a fold. Interesting decisions come on the turn/river.

What makes you think it's a valuebet?

tough spot. I probably look him up though, I think he's desperation bluffing a lot here, doesn't have many sets, and wouldn't be too likely to pot for thin value with A9. Then again, he can't expect you to fold T8 85 or 54, which kind of make up a decent portion of your range, soooo its not easy either way. I guess you've only gotta be right 1/3 of the time, so call?

I think shoving the turn is an option but it kinda sucks since we are deep. There are a lot of draw hands that will call with weak equity on the turn, and we dont need to play a guessing game when the river comes. When you call the turn here i dont really mind a call or fold on the river. The flush draw missed and it is easy for him to bluff shove this card since its fairly easy to put you on a marginal hand a lot here. I think folding here is alright too since he is betting 120bbs on the river here, i guess it would depend on how bluffy in big pots he has been, or is capable of.

two straight draws (45,8T) both hit, and you're hand could easily be that on the river, so i think he's either bluffing or has the straight. i think sets and two pair check call hoping you bluff diamonds.

my questions would be 1) whats his 3bet range? if middle runs are reasonably likely then i'm more likely to fold, if he's more a big card/pair 3bettor then i think Adxdxx is more likely.

2) what do you make of his bet size on the flop? Given how deep you are that feels more like a draw. and if he doesnt have twopair/set on river then he was jamming a draw on the turn as semi-bluff so how likely is that has he done it before.

those questions decide it, but i think its a tough spot. getting 2:1 its prob close.

so the river is when he makes a pot sized bet when the whole time he bet less than pot. so he's obviously saying that he has the nuts.
the only hands that i can see him take that line with are a wrap draw on the flop with something like 4567, or a river bluff with AdxdAx. unfortunately even the bluff has you beat.
i don't think he has something you beat often enough to make this call profitable.

Another thing about this hand that relates to the bet sizing -- on the turn if he had something really weak I don't think he would full pot it because he's basically just relying on the fact that anything that can't raise him on the flop probably can't continue on this turn unless it improved his opponent. This more looks like someone that has a decent draw and is just trying to pot stick themselves and maybe buy a little fold equity in the process.

If he bets AA, it's 100% for value.
