Just curious - what sorts of strength levels to P90X finishers have? I'm mostly interested in powerlifting numbers (press/DL/squat/bench, etc), but I'll take anything.

Considering P90X doesn't use a barbell you're gana have a tough time getting those numbers...

Yeah I know P90x doesn't use barbells, I guess I was just wondering if anyone had gone from P90x to barbell lifting since it seems like a reasonable progression.

progress so far: first week and it is killing me. I have found it very hard to adjust my schedule to get the work outs in, and im kinda cheating at them currently. TBH the hardest one for me is yoga followed closely by plyo. Its rough, but im getting into the habit of it, which i think is mostly the point of week one.

Eating wise, that's actually going better then i expected, eating a lot of salads and keeping my portions under control. Also drinking a lot more water then usual, maybe in a few weeks ill basically have all sodas cut out. Also feeling very good eating a lot more fruits and veggies all the time. My skin feels better, feel good energy all day, im not crashing at any point. I love the feeling im slowy starting to get, and basically i dont feel like im "dieting" which is probably a very good thing.

Been throwing in some walks/ jogs into it. I really like this, gives me a lot of time to just think things out in my head. This is letting me actually be more productive during the day bc i have built in day dreaming time

basically all seems to be going ok, but i NEED to get in the habit of every morning first thing stretching and doing the p90x workout. it will be great when that becomes the norm

You don't need to take supplements to reduce inflammation, try to avoid the foods and beverages that cause them. Since I've been on the primal blueprint I don't really get sore anymore.

- pretty sure even the primal blueprint recommends taking fish oil, or at the least eating a lot of the foods that have omega-3 FAs in them.
- working out causes tons of inflammation.

I forgot Omega-3 FAs fight inflammation... I take 1200mg fish oil a day... Facepalm

Wow, how strange it is to find a p90x thread on DC. I have been at it for just over a week and I love it. I also have to agree that plyo and yoga take some getting use to. I thought I would have a stroke before I got to the end of that first plyo workout.

Anyway keep reporting results. It's good to hear that others have the same feelings about the program.

How's it going rrumsey?

If you need motivation, I found this on one of the DC blogs and it made me want to run through a wall. It manages to be both schmaltzy and mariney but still great.

I also love this one, mainly for the gorgeous Ali quotes, man is a genius.

If you're flagging this will help you get back on it. I haven't started yet as am between countries so don't want to buy the equipment twice, but I'm back doing Ashtanga yoga. You should check it out on youtube too. Hard.
