Hey all,
My brother gave me a copy of his discs and I just finished Day 2 (Plyo) but He didn't give me the book or a schedule of the routine. Can someone help me out, please?
Thanks,

You probably want classic. Usually women or really overweight people do Lean, and Doubles is for collegiate athletes and people who are hardcore/want to work out 2+ hours a day...
Sssshh rootbeer , let us leave this thread in peace , we must be strong and move on , now il have Tony back mocking me in my dreams !!
P90X:MC2 is almost done... I can't wait I'm so pumped:

I just started over again on monday...
Hey rrumsey , im 2.5 weeks into it. It was about the same time last year i managed 1.5 months but then went on vacation and never really got back into , im determined to stick with it this time. I will keep an eye on this thread and hopefully we will both follow it through until the end. Would be great if there are some others also starting out.
Lol at my post 1 month ago ![]()
@ chazbot- i was going to start up on monday would love to keep up with you but be a week behind, idk if i have you on skype or anything but ill pm you and try and get some contact info exchanged if you don't mind
@ shades- thanks i had the same problem all the time, would start it then something would come up. I need to fix that. Actually decided to also start a blog to try and double down on the motivation. Thanks man ill keep some updates up! and also ill pm yah see if we can exchange skype info or something.
seriously thanks to DC you guys are actually great in helping people get motivated, regardless of the topic, poker and none poker alike. This vibe of everyone being on a journey of self improvement in huge variety of things makes this place really special to be a part of!
I'm Chazb0t on skype too, so it's pretty easy to find me.
starting Monday rrumsey??
I might be up for that (that's commitment) if I can, ahem, find the videos on the interweb.
If I sort it out this weekend I'll PM you to get skyped up.
Read the Primal Blueprint after reading this thread - want to start but seems so expensive and generally fiddly. But the whole thing made perfect sense.
Chazbot - do you find the two are incompatible? That primal fella is pretty damning about hardcore training.
Do you add protein to your diet???

No I don't add protein, I just eat like I used to but skip all the rice, bread, pasta, fast food, soda, energy drinks. I don't drink any calories anymore, just coffee, tea, or water... It really isn't any more expensive, instead of blowing money on fast food I just buy meat, fruit, vegetables, nuts, and seeds.
Mark Sisson spent his whole life training and doing marathons and triathlons, he is damning of the "chronic cardio" he used to subscribe to.
I really wouldn't consider P90X "chronic cardio." It is 3 days of resistance training, weightlifting, and calisthenics, 1 day of plyometrics, 1 day of yoga, 1 day of kickboxing/cardio, and 1 day of rest or stretching.
i have some protein, used to go to the gym with my roommate and used to drink them. never really saw a difference using it or not. Wasn't planning on adding it in but we will see
As far as primal blueprint you referring to the cook book? http://www.google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&authuser=0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&biw=1366&bih=667&q=Primal+Blueprint&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=17154042472905256269&sa=X&ei=qLcDTqzkCpDUgQfi57jlDQ&ved=0CFUQ8wIwBg
or the book (book) http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=Primal+Blueprint+book&hl=en&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=9556473387828675537&sa=X&ei=8bcDTqe5C4fcgQeOk5CDDg&ved=0CFUQ8wIwAA
is it basically eating meat and veggies and fruit?
the book book. pretty much meat, veggies and fruit but also eggs, nuts, seeds and loads of other things for what looks like a really tasty diet on reflection. High fat, low carb, but with the right fats so no heart disease concerns.
There's lots in it about why grain is bad for you, insluin and the sugar-high-crash cycle. Makes sense. But it means buying quality organic meat and eggs etc, locally sourced veg, so would be expensive, but yeah as chazbot says its a false economy to think you're saving buy buying convenience food.
The first link is the accompanying cook book.
i have heard of these things. Some runner buddies of mine call bread and grains "white death" or something like that. And I will look into it, since I'm a college student maybe I can do a cheaper walmart based version of just trying to reduce breads and grains and sugars but probably not be able to go the whole way with the organic food route. But can def go the meat, veggie, fruit route as a starting point. I'm finding it is easy to get too excited about this, I have to remember that its babysteps that are important! step by step.
