Due to popular demand, I'm pleased to introduce my "intermediate" coaching group.

I mainly envision this class for students with some pre-existing poker knowledge base and experience who are struggling to beat 50NL or 100NL. I think it's going to be a good deal and a lot of fun! Feel free to post your questions here or email me.

SEATS: 6

CONTENT: 12+ hours of coaching instruction. 5 group lessons and 2 individual lessons. Each weekend we'll do a 2-hour group session on a given lecture topic. During the last two weeks, you'll have an individual lesson with me to work on the specifics of your game in addition to our group lesson.

SCHEDULE: The first class will start on the weekend of January 3rd/4th and run for five weeks. although, if the seats go fast enough, we could possibly get started the weekend after Christmas.

REQUIREMENTS: All you'll need is skype, a headset, and a willingness to put forth some effort! There will be homework assignments, so come prepared to work hard -- you'll reap the rewards!

PRICE: $300

SIGN UP: Send me an email at sootedpower@deucescracked.com. I'm putting together the intermediate syllabus right now, so if you are interested, send me an email and I'll shoot you the syllabus.

Syllabus hot off the press!

The groups sessions will include a very informal lecture with questions and answer, and a hand history review portion where we go over hands played by students in the group. If you have questions, feel free to skype me at masflow3131 or email at sootedpower@deucescracked.com

January 4: The Optimal Preflop Style is . . . +EV

There is no optimal preflop “style!” In this lesson we’ll focus preflop ranges and how to adjust them based on table conditions – when you should play loose and when you should play tighter. Also include in our discussion will be 3betting and calling ranges.

January 11: Playing Postflop with the Initiative

Don’t get into a rut of cbetting and folding. In this session we’ll learn how NOT to build pots for our opponents to win! We’ll talk about cbetting ranges, barreling ranges, valuebetting ranges, reacting to donkbets and more.

January 18: Playing Postflop Without the initiative

Very few 50/100NL players incorporate floats into their game. In this session we’ll discuss how to win pots without the initiative -- and why position often trumps “initiative”!

January 25: ZOMG HUD!

You can certainly acquire useful reads from your HUD, but many of the best reads don’t come from stats at all. In this session we’ll talk about acquiring more advanced reads on our opponents.

February 1: Putting It All Together

In this session we will discuss postflop play generally, putting together everything we’ve learned thusfar. I’ll get feedback from the group on specifics they want to address and we’ll go over a mishmash of postflop strategy.

Yes, if there is enough interest, I'll be starting a new group every month, hopefully.

I'm not positive, but I think it would be 3 am in Australia. Basically, I am GMT -8, so figure out what time zone you are in and add the difference to 9 am. I think australia is GMT+10, so it would be an 18 hour difference, thus 3 am on Monday morning.

The Sunday, Jan. 11 50NL/100NL NLHE Course is filled.

However, as I've had to turn away several people, I am going to institute a second "intermediate" course that will meet on Saturdays (I'm thinking noon EST).

The course will start as soon the sixth seat is filled. To reserve your spot, email me at sootedpower@deucescracked.com.

2 seats left in the Saturday 50NL/100NL coaching group!

I'm going to set the date/time as soon as we get to 5 people and close the seats when we get to 6 -- so I'm thinking the course will likely start this Saturday.
