Hi everyone,
To steal a page from improva's playbook, I'm going to offer a 6max NLHE course for beginners playing 25NL and below. If this experiment is successful, I'll likely offer a course for more advanced micros as well. Here are the details:
PARTICIPANTS: Many people learn to play NLHE by doing things without understanding *why* they do them. This course will focus on teaching the basics with an emphasis on explaining the why underlying standard TAG play. This will lay the groundwork for thinking and adaptation as you improve and move on to higher stakes.
I mainly envision this class for students struggling to win at microstakes or beginners with limited experience in 6m NLHE. If there is interest, I may add an intermediate micro class targeting players who already know the basics, but are looking to increase their winrate, win more pots, and move up to 50NL or 100NL.
SEATS: 6
CONTENT: 12+ hours of coaching instruction. 5 group lessons and 2 individual lessons. Each weekend we'll do a 2-hour group session on a given lecture topic. During the last two weeks, you'll have an individual lesson with me to work on the specifics of your game in addition to our group lesson.
SCHEDULE: The first class will start on the weekend of January 3rd/4th and run for five weeks. although, if the seats go fast enough, we could possibly get started the weekend after Christmas.
REQUIREMENTS: All you'll need is skype, a headset, and a willingness to put forth some effort! There will be homework assignments, so come prepared to work hard -- you'll reap the rewards!
PRICE: $300
SIGN UP: Send me an email at sootedpower@deucescracked.com. I'm putting together a syllabus right now, so if you are interested, send me an email and I'll shoot you the syllabus.

Here's the syllabus, hot off the press!
JAN 3rd: Preflop Ranges: Playing your opponents begins preflop!
In this session we’ll discuss why we raise and why it’s best not to think of preflop play as a “style†but instead as just another decision based on our opponents tendencies.
JAN 10th: Flop Play: Opponents, Board Texture and Your Cards
In this session we’ll talk about board textures, opponent’s tendencies, and c-betting ranges. We’ll also talk about playing without the initiative and associated bluff and value lines.
JAN 17th: Post-flop Play: Milking the Cows While Avoiding the Bull
In this session we’ll discuss value-betting and recognizing when your opponent’s line means he is rarely bluffing. These are the two most common leaks in beginner play: missing value bets and paying off monsters!
JAN 24th: ZOMG STATS! Translate your stats into concrete reads without being a HUDBOT
Sometimes stats can be misleading or even worthless. There is also plenty of valuable information not contained within Hold ’em Manager. In this session we’ll discuss information you can use to gain insight into your opponent’s holdings.
JAN 31st: Three-betting: Harnessing a Powerful Weapon
Three betting is for more than just broadway pairs! In this session we’ll discuss using three-bets to exploit different types of opponents, and reacting to three-bets from our opponents.

It sounds great, and I would sign up, but here's why I can't.
The price. If someone is properly rolled for 25NL or lower, with a minimum of 20BI, they only have $500. Your asking people to spend, 60% of their BR on this course. Now then let's say someone has $800.. well rolled for 25NL with 32BI. Now this type of person falls in a grey area, because they are starting to be rolled for 50NL. If they use $300 to take the course, well now they've shot themself in the foot, and forced their table selection back to 25NL only.
Am I missing something? I just fear that $300 for a 25NL player is hard to justify.
On the other hand I do see that it is only $25/hour.
Are you looking for full payment up front?

Hey LaRue,
I totally understand that $300 is a significant investment. For people playing 25NL and lower, I think this course will quickly pay for itself in terms of increasing your winrate.
FYI -- I am willing to consider a partial payment plan where you pay a portion upfront and a second portion before receiving your individual instruction.

Good point huckle!
I'm on the west coast of the United States, so I'm ~8 or 9 hours behind Western Europe. To accomodate everyone, I'll likely hold the sessions at 9 or 10 am my time on the weekends.
