Hey guys,

I am going to be recording videos for a new series at here at Deucescracked.com and I need video submissions from any microstakes 6-max player willing!

The series will be covering all the common micro limits, including 2NL through 50NL. I will be basing the series content on how many submissions I receive at each limit, so if you want to make sure your stakes are represented, go ahead and show your interest with a submission!

The videos will need to be NO MORE than 40 minutes in length. Please do not record an extra long video. We need to keep the file sizes relatively small since I'll be handling a ton of videos on top of the ones I already use in my coaching lessons and I have limited hard drive space. The videos should be either 2 or 4 tables, you should use a HUD if possible, and you do not need to record audio. The tables must not overlap and all stats and stack sizes must be legible at 1600x1200 resolution, so please don't resize tables to their minimum size in order to fit 4 on your 12" laptop screen. Wink

If you need assistance recording a video please check out the Coaches Corner series here on DC. There are vids to help with recording on both Camstudio and Camtasia Studio. Camstudio is free but harder to use; Camtasia is easy to use but only has a 30-day free trial then is mad expensive to buy. Once your video is recorded you'll need to upload it here:

www.deucescracked.com/member_videos

Megaupload also works if you have problems with the DC file share, but DC's is pretty sweet.

I would really like this series to fill the gap we have in content at the lower microlimits as I've seen lots of 2-10NL posts in the forums recently and I'd like to help those guys out so don't be shy my ultra-micro grinders!

If you'd like to make a submission, you'll need to first send a brief email application to the following address:

tubasvids AT gmail.com

In your email please include the following info about yourself and your vid:

1) Copy/paste this subject line: "TUBASTEVE MICRO SERIES APPLICATION"
2) DC name and real name
3) Stakes
4) Number of tables
5) Poker site
6) Why I should pick you for the series

Number 6 is important as I will more inclined to pick someone active in the community. For example if you're a helpful frequent poster or have done some video reviews for players at lower stakes, include that in your email.

Once I have selected the members that will be participating they will go ahead and record the videos if they haven't then upload them, so you can still apply even if you don't have a vid yet. I'm not yet certain if the member will be taking part in the actual recording of the video or not, but I wanted to go ahead and gauge interest now so I could have plenty of time to make the series with no looming deadlines.

Alright that should about cover it...let me know if you guys and gals have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you all!

I am a PLO player who dabbles in NL in the mixed games. Is there any value in me submitting a video just for the novelty of watching a 4 card player try to fiddle with 2 cards, or would you prefer to save your time for people who play NL more seriously?

as long as you can see everything it should be fine, doesn't have to be US sites.

I think I'll definitely be submitting something for this, time permitting (effin' last semester of college actually having me doing work), especially if I move back up to 50NL soon.

But guys, it's actually super easy to record a video. Don't be discouraged from trying. This is essentially a chance for free coaching - don't pass it up. Plus you're helping Steve and DC produce more quality content!

For the record, Camtasia is much much better if your trial hasn't expired yet, but Camstudio works well enough... haven't tried Screencast-o-matic yet.

For those who can't use the free trial of Camtasia (which I recommend fully), take a look at this:

Screencast-o-Matic Tutorial:
http://www.deucescracked.com/videos/26-Tool_Time/2751-Recording_Member_Videos_using_Screencast_o_Matic

Camtasia >> ScreenCast-o-Matic >>>>>>> Camstudio

If you can, use Camtasia:

Having quality video recordings is necessary for us to produce good vids, so remember to record at full resolution and use the best tools you can!

Steve,

Should we stick to one stake per video, or can we have two 25NL tables and two 50NL tables going simultaneously?

Sounds good
Is audio optional or would you rather the video have none ? do you not feel the thought process behind the play is key to figure out where and what the average small stake player is lacking

no audio necessary but it won't hurt to include it.

I can do a 50NL video if you want one. I think a probably play a little differently than a lot of people at 50NL and have been playing pretty laggy lately so it may be interesting.
