Well, back to poker after a 2 year break for various personal reasons. Heard a blog is a good way to keep motivated to actually work on the game and keep at it. Plan to get started: Watch Real Life 180 Grinder Watch Top 0.56% Learn from OMGClayDol Grind 180s Work on building tables back up, starting with 2 and going from there. Aim by the end of May: No Volume Target No Profit Target Basically only target is to get through the vid ... (continued)
Sick couple of weeks! Mid June Stars changed their rake structure to remove the floor for raked pots. They had a policy of not raking pots < $1 which is ideal for the microstakes player, as most of the money comes from dragging in the insane amount of dead money at these levels. (Villains are loose preflop, fit or fold post flop) The only reason I was playing Stars at all was to benefit from the reduced rake whils ... (continued)
Ahh The month of May is over. Was an up and down month for me. Firstly I decided to spend more time playing more hands and over the last 2 weeks been playing 200 and 100 plo. Im not going to lie its been pretty tough. When I was not playing much hands I think I was able to focus more and be more fresh and also just fully focus on one table. With my commitment to playing more hands ... (continued)
Been playing 0.5/1 and 1/2 plo this week on Stars. Yesterday had my first major down day in a while. I dropped 10 bi playing PLO. I made a few weird plays and calls that maybe was not postive EV but it has allowed me to know how alot of the players at that limit play. Il keep a few things to myself but I feel becoming a calling station at times (as long as you have the bankroll to a bsorb it) can reall ... (continued)
All booked. Heading out to vegas for WSOP for a 1 week and a half from the 1st week of June so I can be back in UK to concentrate on the world cup!!! SO excited I was there for a week last year and had a great time. Last year I tried to play in one of the $1500 donkments but it was sold out after I turned up at 9am on the day after playing a 24 hour session at beligio. So i’m new to DeucesCracked, but i’ve known about and checked the site out alot in the past so I decided to give it a test and see what came out of it. So a few details, I’m Harry, I play NLH and PLO (HU and 6max Mostly) on stars and fulltilt. Honestly I suck, but I’m trying to improve, BR management has been a long term problem, I’m a bit of a gambler so tend to take shots way too often. I was playing a sess ... (continued)
I moved to Stars on the suggestion of a DC member $tudlani as we considered the rake might be better than at Full Tilt < 25NL. I deposited $60 leaving $80 in neteller and played 5NL with a 100% first deposit bonus in lieu of rakeback. I’ve been doing ok on Stars, winning at least, but I still preferred the software on FT and when Rush came out I thought I might be missing out. Well now Rush is availa ... (continued)
The field size looks pretty small, and my short handed early game isn’t the best, so I might not. I had a prior engagement for the event #01-L, but it looked like it was a 50hr event. It looks like the #05-L might have an overlay, but if it’s not, I might not play.
