Moved up to 5NL for the last couple of weeks. After trying a few times to move up, I have finally “stuck” at 5NL. This limit seems really soft, to a certain degree it seems a little easier than 2NL, which might sound weird. It took some adjusting to, to the different villain’s in that they are a little more aggressive on the flop and I seem to find that 50bb short sta ... (continued)
I must say I played a couple of sit and go’s this weekend, won 1 and came 2nd in another. Think that was good for about $9. It is important that you know that. This by itself may be the reason why I’m running so bad at the $20+$2 level. All-time all-in luck graph $10+$1 all-in luck graph $20+$2 all-in luck graph I think these images speak for themselves. I think I can say I’m running bad for more than 1 straight year playing part-time, poker isn’t for everyone, is it ? It’s just psychologically devastating. Any winning player with all-in graphs like these ? Please share, I want to make sure I’m not the only one suffering from this. :D
Introduction This is the first in a series of articles that will discuss limit holdem from the ground up. Although the examples will be chosen from limit holdem, much of the discussion applies to all forms of poker. Much of the material covered will be of a theoretical nature. The reason for this is that the alternate approach — giving a concrete set of rules to guide ... (continued)
