So today I worked a little more on my playing IP vs EP. Yes it’s probably not the most usual spot, but since we are talking more about tight ranges, I guess it can be a little bit easier, as I am trying some stuff with my math, to see if a can get to some answers. I need to get a more better ideia of how EV really works. Yeah I know how it is calculated, and in theory I know how it works, but I’m trying to get more confor ... (continued)
This is just a quick update. After a breakeven day yesterday, i ran pretty good today: Overall month: Â Can’t compain :D
Last night I had my first winning session in a while. During the last week I’ve played very little poker, but when I played, I lost. So last night was a relief. And looking back is ecstatic: I WON 2 dollars!!!!! ;D Anyway, I signed for the 50k hands in 3 months challenge. It will be hard to get the volume in with 4 tables PLO with my limited time – but challenge accepted! firstly, this challenge shouldn’t change my own goal t ... (continued)
I have been experimenting with my new photography gear and thought I would have a little fun with photoshop this afternoon. This is my subliminal shout out to DC :) Hope you like it. Â
July Goals: 1) Dedicate at least 2 hours per week to watching videos and game study. 2) Play 250 MTT’s 3) Attain 99% OPR 4) Bronze Level Iron Man on Full Tilt Another thing I have started doing is selling a piece of my action to reduce variance and allow me to play some higher buy-ins. I know the Deuces Cracked community is not into staking. So if any one else is interested in doing this themselves you should check out ChipMeUP.com Or feel free to PM me with any questions.
Welcome to the inaugural post of Brandon’s blog. I hope it will be filled with interesting tidbits on life, my thoughts, philosophies, and of course, some poker. I’ll start out with a little bit of background on me… I’m 27, married, and have two daughters. We live in California. My wife is currently a stay-at-home mom, and I’m an engineer for a Fortune 500 company who’s name most people would recognize immediately. My youngest d ... (continued)
Last week I was at the Pokerstars UKIPT Nottingham… It was so cool meeting with players who are on DC and other forums and the talk at the tables was really interesting ranging from state of games on the net to how to play hands in certain spots so I was glad to get out there. The Poker venue at Dusk Till Dawn in nottingham is the best I have been to in the UK. They really cate ... (continued)
Havent been playing much online this week due to the fact I have been playing live pactically every day in London. With me I feel sometimes that when I play alot live and then I go back to playing online I find it hard to adjust and make a lot of mistakes so when I am playing live I try not to mix it with playing online at the same time. I did well live playing PLO (Its so weird that I find it so diff ... (continued)
I’m extremely excited about what the next year will be like for my poker game. I finally renewed my DC membership for a year term, taking advantange of the sweet deal of getting a license for Omaha Manager and a signed copy Tommy Angelo’s Theory of Poker book, and I can already see the +EV effects of watching a few videos over the Free Flash Weekend. My thought process during my hands is much more analytical then it was last week. I’m ... (continued)
