50k challenge -6k hands done

I have been working on a couple of fishy b-game tendencies that I have that were hurting my showdown line a lot and strengthening my ranges up a bit in general and the results today have been most pleasing.  I’ve also been lucky enough to catch the nuts in a couple of places where someone else had enough of a hand to call me, which is always pleasing.  Overall I’m up just less than $100.

So the 50k challenge has been going pretty well, so I decided to have a small checkout of 25NL.  Not an actual shot, just a little look.  Managed to get QQ in against AK and JJ against AA (lost both).  It’s put a bit of a dent in my roll, so I’m going to put off any further curiousity about 25NL until I have $250 of actual profit at 10NL. I think I’m going to formalise on 20 + 10 for this challenge from now on.  sigh

50k challenge milestone 1: I have doubled my initial $100 roll

So, 2851 hands of 10NL running slightly over EV @ 39.25/100 = $112.  It’s obvious who the real winner of the 50k challenge is going to be though – stars.  $42 in rake already!
