Why I'm happy about bad plays sometimes

I probably made one of the worst poker plays yesterday when I called off an all-in 3-bet on the river with the high straight on a paired board. So why am I so happy about it? Because after the hand was over I knew it was bad. I was able to look over the hand and come up with a much better line.
