As you can see by my last few entries I have been going through some struggles lately. I won’t go into too much detail about them here because they have already been explained. Anyway, after I had limited myself to a few short 30-minute burst sessions of 4-tabling 6 max games with reviews in between, watching some related poker vids, and then making some goals based off of it al ... (continued)
So, I filtered my Pt3 to only show stats from today going forward because I really don’t want to look at the 10,000 hands prior. I fired up 4 tables, which I think is the most that I can play comfortably. Truth be told, I think I would have a better winrate at 2 or 3 but 4 is quite comfy for me. For the session I really focused on going for value and not being a hero. For the most part I think I ... (continued)
Above is my graph for the last two weeks of playing poker. The first 600 hands or so was a super small sample size of me playing super-aggro and getting on the right side of luck, eventually I crashed pretty hard and really started concentrating on respecting villain raises, keeping sessions under control, etc. I was also watching the coaching kristy series and trying to apply that to ... (continued)
See that dude? Those babes in the beach chairs do. They think he’s a totally hot badass. Who is that dude anyway? Well, that is Nicname circa 2007 lookin’ trim and lovin’ life in the Bahamas. Five years later ol’ Nicname has put on a few pounds and is pretty determined to shed them this summer. He is also ready to shed some bad habits that populate his poker game. That is what th ... (continued)
So, the time has come to start this journey. I have tinkered over the last 10 days at NL10, NL25 and NL50 6 max to get a feel for the games. I hate to admit it but I am a fish and learnt pretty quickly thay NL10 will be my starting point. There are pros to this though, it means I actually begin my journey fully rolled for it. At the higher stakes I would ... (continued)

Decided to play one final hurrah before bed. I registered for the 3k Guarantee cashout tourney on FT. Was a long slog and was bouncing up and down in chip levels as there was some maniac players on my table for the majority of the tournament. Was quite fun, and I wasn’t worried too much about the slow play of the non turbo tournament either… Played quite well, took HEAPS of notes on ... (continued)
Ok so I spent some time at a friends place last night… after ranting my frustrations at life, I think I’m ready to start rebuilding. Spent the morning doing some things I’d been putting off for ages – setting up my business properly (I do multimedia design/3D animation so if anyone is interested in offering me work, send me a message). Lots more to do but its a start. Yesterday on one of my tough ... (continued)
