I play NL Holdem for about 4 years and now I’m completely burnout. So I think that it is a good time to start a new challenge for me. I will try to learn Stud and 2-7 triple draw and move up in stakes. I separate $2000 from my bankroll to start. Some of my initial goals are: Stop loss of 40bb (day) Stud Play $1/$2 BR = 1000 move up 400bb and down if hit 300bb Go from 1/2 to 10/20 in 6 month 2-7 Triple Draw Play $1/$2 B ... (continued)
I think people highly underrate triple draw as a variation of poker. I have seen people try and argue that triple draw is not even poker. I can’t offer a concise analytical or mathematical reason why one should play TD over other games. I will instead offer my own value judgments. What have I learnt Playing Triple Draw? *Position * I hate to admit it but before I started playing TD I understood the concept of posi ... (continued)
I was nearly caught out by this one, for a split second I thought he was busto. It was only last month I saw the real steam take at least $25,000 from holdemNL at $1000/$2000 TD.
By heat wave I am not referring to how I am running rather the HOT spring weather we have had over here in Australia link . On one of the days it reached 43 degrees Celsius or 109.4 F for the non metric system readers. On Friday I only put in a short 2 hour session as I had a few doctors appointments and didn’t really have the right mindset to be playing. A summary of the sessions I played is shown be ... (continued)
I guess he wont need to reload even if he sits at the table for 20 years.
I didn’t post my daily update today as I am running of my MacBook for the rest of the week and there is no analysis software for mac. Just of the top of my head I think I dropped around $20 (will update this post when my desktop back up and running). Even though I had a negative I am happy with most of my play. So after the session I asked myself what is different between this losing day and my other days? ... (continued)
Today I was only able to put in a short session there was not much action going on stars. I played 3 tables two at $0.1-$0.2 and one at $0.25-$0.5. There was nothing that really stands out from this session. On one of my tables I had a complete manic his stats were: PDR = 76.15 VP$IP%=93.58% AFpd=2.79 AF1d =1.97 AF2d=1.38 AF3d=2.67 Hands=109 This guy was most loose aggressive opponent I have encountered, he wo ... (continued)
My goal for the rest of this year is to build a bankroll from playing micro-stakes Triple Draw cash games. My 3rd place in a $1.10 tourney has paid for my 6 month DC subscription so I will have to get busy building a bankroll. Why Did I Start Playing Poker? Unlike many others I don’t have an exciting poker story to share with you all. I kind of fell into poker after I had some serious health issues that prevented me from ... (continued)
