Wake up, bleary-eyed to the sounds of the couple next door yelling at each other. Turn on cumputer, check 2p2 and DC, log on to Full Tilt. ? Profit!!! Â 5. Get out of bed and eat breakfast, $360 richer.
Graph of a session I just played, 16-tabling 100NL FR: Posted a profit of just less than 1BI, but christ, it was hard work getting there.Â

Hello everyone ! I am a DC member for about one year, but you know, just for videos. I was a member of an another poker community, however, I decided find a new place. Hope that DC will be as good choice as the quality of movies here :D I will share some more info about me. I am a 20 year old Polish student, who wants to improve his life and live in luxury and happiness. My main hobbys except ... (continued)
God I am so fucking pissed! (good way to start a blog) I just wrote down my whole life and then hit “save settings” (for the blog) and everything was gone. So here we go again: Hello readers, my name is Christian I am 25 years old and I study psychology. I started playing poker in 2006 with 50$ from another coaching site. Like most players I started with FL at that time and gri ... (continued)
Finished with around 15K hands and 11 BIs + RB, so quite OKish results. Tried to ‘fix’ my blind play by picking spots where to 3bet and where to take a more passive line for value. Running breakeven from SB and I think that’s quite good result. However BB is still -0.15 PT\BB and I have no idea where I should aim for. I guess somewhere under -10? If anyone knows what good players have, please let me know. Al ... (continued)
Didn’tfeel the urge to blog last week. The second half of Feb didn’t end up overly well. Graph below (99% 100nl), was still a decent profit for the month. I played a few hands (>100) of 200nl in Feb, and begun the first couple days of March by playing one or two tables of 200nl with the regular 100nl tables. However I have since come up with a plan of attack for the rest of ... (continued)
So I haven’t blogged in a while, I’ve been slacking off and forgot about it. So I’m creating a new blog, here on Deuces Cracked, which is my favorite poker training site. I’m subscribed to both DC and Card Runners, but Krantz’z videos are probably the most epic videos I’ve seen making DC #1. I also have a free subscription to stox poker via truly free poker training, but haven’t taken a ... (continued)
I would like to get this set up for March, first come first served. If this group is a success (which it obviously will be ;D), I may try and run 2 groups in April. We’ll be meeting on Monday’s or Tuesday’s and usually between 2pm and 8pm EST depending on when everyone in the group can meet. Who: 50NL-200NL 6-Max players who want to improve their game and move up, but mor ... (continued)
Hi everybody I missed my weekly update but I have been spending almost every hour studying so hadn’t had time to play and study the pokerz.. I will summarize the weeks I’ve missed in a post when my exams are done. I play 4 tables of 100 nl and I think there are some quite interesting spots and I would love to get some discussion started about the vid. Sorry for the Zshare link, ... (continued)
Today I played a shortish session of NLHE , and a bit of stud 2/4. I felt like I had really poor focus during the stud game, but I brought out my A-game for the NLHE . Top-class hand-reading isn’t just whittling down the possible hands your opponent could have on any given street, based on how he played up until then. It’s also about understanding why he played his hand that way. A fishy play ... (continued)
I played a fair mix of games today. I actually ended up playing a ton of PLO on Full Tilt at 50PLO(cap 20) last night after my evaluation post, and I played a fair bit this morning too. I’m mostly playing that to get better in preparation for the 8-game/7-game at mid-stakes. I feel that 100bb is probably my weakest game. I really enjoy playing CAP PLO though, mostly because the opposition is so ... (continued)
I 4-tabled for two sessions today, and really felt like my game has improved a ton since the start of the year already. I got in over 750 hands, but I feel really tired having done it. It’s a sure sign that I’m thinking hard. For one session I had an old 400NL reg sweating me, and he said that he was overall impressed with my style. I did make a few mistakes because we were typing and I missed a f ... (continued)
I played a 4-tabling session for the first time in ages. I had really high levels of concentration and didn’t notice a single big mistake through the whole session. I managed to get over 500 hands played as well, which is a ton for me in a single day. I might look into three or four-tabling more regularly. It all depends on the increased concentration sticking though, and that will come from consistent preparation. j
Today I played a tiny amount of 2/4 stud in the morning when the NLHE tables were relatively dead, and this evening I played one session of NLHE . I prepared admirably – I had a glass of water, was well fed, and even a back-up liquid supply to refill my glass. I was definitely not at maximum concentration, but I do feel that I have increased the frequency I check the blinds before I play a hand. This ... (continued)
I played one pretty good session at NL100 today and got myself onto two really juicy tables. Got my water, got my focus, and managed to take note of the players in the BB for >50% of my hands. Another great thing about this is that it makes you hyper-aware of any changes in the table-dynamic, which can make you a ton of money too. Tomorrow I’m aiming for a little more volume and ... (continued)
Today I played two sessions. In the first session I two-tabled in the second session I three-tabled, which is rare for me. I played around 550 hands in total. I managed to remember to get my glass of water before each session, so that’s a good thing; I prepared well. I had a bunch of interesting spots come up, but I just marked them for future analysis at the time, rather than try ... (continued)
Today I played 350 hands of NL100 NLHE and 66 hands of 3/6 stud hi. I was breakeven for the day at NLHE , and identified one very large mistake where I didn’t stick to my plan for the hand and just clicked buttons – even after thinking about the spot for a while.; I lost a few bets at stud after losing the one big pot I played with trip QQQ – however, I do feel that I misplayed ... (continued)
The Grind A friend (IwantSmirnoff at the forums) suggested to me that I had enough of a bankroll + skillset + mindset to get my ass back at the 100nl tables. As you can see from the graph it worked out pretty well and although I have much to learn I feel pretty confident about my game. Not too much hands though since I spent some time with my gf and family during the holidays One thi ... (continued)
I decided to give HU NLHE a shot last night. Felt like it was time to take a shot at some, and gave 100NL a chance. My opponent was average, and I felt like I had an edge the entire match. He folded to my bluffs (well, all but one), and called most of my value bets. I was also able to get him to bluff when I wanted him to. Sounds like I pwnt him, right? Nope, I lost 3BI. Reviewing my play, I think I did pretty ... (continued)
Well a week later and I am doing this blog. The last week I have played quite a bit, not sure how many hands, and I can definitely say that I have ‘loped’ off my former C game as Tommy Angelo describes it. I still don’t play my A game all the time, but my current C game is much more like what my old B/B- game was like. The difference has been huge, I don’t end up playing so many pots OOP and rai ... (continued)
