Hi there,

I'm somewhat new to the site by have, thus far, found the videos to be very helpful. Unfortunately, I am a US player so the sites I can play do not support HUD. (I play on either Cake or Carbon) I used to play professionally online on Stars several years ago, but those days are long since gone.

Anyway, by the latter portion of this topic "1.5x people who make money left" I mean to say that if, for instance 50 people make the money, for the purposes of the hypothetical there are 75 players left. Or if there are 20 who make the money, 30 are left. Etc.

My question lies here: Assuming a standard payout structure, and 10BB what kind of ranges should I be shoving with pf from each position. I am aware that the stack sizes of the other players at the tables play a big role. But for the sake of this discussion let's assume we're at a table with stack sizes of the other 9 players ranging from 8-18BB. Also, maybe later on we can discuss ranges when the tables are 9,8, and 7 players.

The reason I pose this question is because I was in a tournament recently with several spots like this. A couple included being in the HJ with hands like A7o and TJs and having no idea whether to shove, raise, or fold.

Thank you for all the input,
Owen

I think it basically comes down the of the guys left behind you and what you think their calling range is. On merge (small stakes) i've seen guys call off their 10 bb stacks with with A9,K10 and QJ type hands. If you have a couple of these type guys behind you it a clear fold. That being said as long as you are against competent players and your 10 bb will have a signifigant impact to their stack I think it ok to jam here. Being closer to the bubble should give you more credit and some good players with a bigger stack could even fold A10, KQs, and 22-44s. I don't think you should be raising here though with 10bbs just too easy for someone who is decent, or just drunk and bored to resteal on you. I think calling off is probably really bad unless the guy is a complete maniac. But without a HUD I would lean towards jamming against what you think are good players, but just folding against the droolers and waiting for a better spot.

Hope this helps.
