Ok i shall try to make this fairly brief,
Im 27 live in the UK and have been playing on/off for 3 years ( completely for fun).
I got into poker when i started working as a dealer in a busy cardroom where i worked for 3 years.
Im now grinding a 9-5 and want to really throw myself into poker.
My question is this, i want to put my time and effort into the learning the"form" of poker which offers the most " value" so any suggestions? 6max nl?...PLO?...HU SNG? 180 man?...... where are the fish?
ps If i have posted this is the wrong place...my bad

You are the fish. Start at 5nl and work on your game. You will be able to gain an edge in any game you choose to make your specialty so go with what is the most interesting for you. I think HU is the purest form of poker and the best way to learn hand reading. However, if you are bad HU, you are for sure going to see your money go bye bye really quickly.
This is going to be a LONG journey. There isn't a chance in hell you are going to jump into a game and next week be like F*ck it, I'm quitting my job for this. Do NOT start at 25 or 50nl, its a waste of your money. If you have to ask this question, you aren't prepared for these games or any game for that matter.
Not trying to diss you, just trying to give you the cold hard reality. If you are starting to take poker seriously just now, you are most likely at least a year if not 2 years away from making decent money grinding this game.
