Hi Fudgenut,

I raise out of the blinds with any pair in any unraised pot (unless the opponent is particularly short stacked and may shove), and feel that I take it down on the flop so often it is a profitable play, and if I am called I either give up with my small pairs or have a set. Thoughts on that way of thinking? I feel it also protects my premium hands because my range isn\'t so snug out of the blinds.

In this hand I agree a turn check/fold is good, he is getting strung along.

I don\'t like the preflop raise, as a middle pocket pair is pretty hard to play out of position (as this hand shows). As played, I check-fold the turn.

I would say this depends on the dynamics of the table. If you are more than likely going to get at most one caller, this is a good situation. If you are often getting called in multiple spots, it becomes much more tricky as you cannot c-bet every flop profitably, in my opinion.

In this spot with the CO open limping, I change my mind to raising preflop. For some reason I thought there were multiple limpers.

I had no read on villian\'s play as I was new to the table. I estimated that they were on a range of about 55-22,A6s,KJs-K9s,76s,65s,KJo-KTo once they made the flop call. I was about a 67% favorite against that range. My intention was to check call most turn cards (especially when he bet only about 1/3 pot) and fold to just about any river bet as I assumed that it could rarely be a bluff and never would be a hand that I beat.

How is my line? Any ideas or suggestions?
