Villain is 67/8 24 hands

Poker Stars $0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em - 6 players - View hand 483429
The Official DeucesCracked.com Hand History Converter

Hero (CO): $29.35
BTN: $19.95
SB: $30.25
BB: $14.55
UTG: $33.65
MP: $18.70

Pre Flop: ($0.35) Hero is CO with A Club J Diamond
2 folds, Hero raises to $1, BTN calls $1, 2 folds

Flop: ($2.35) 5 Diamond 5 Club J Spade (2 players)
Hero bets $1.50, BTN raises to $4.25, Hero calls $2.75

I thought of folding here already given how initial stats are fishy but my sample set is so small. I decided to call and see if aggression continues on turn.

Turn: ($10.85) K Spade (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $7, Hero ?

I think this is a clear fold but do you think it would be too weak to fold on the raise on flop without any reads?

Yes agreed,

I think its atleast possible that he is value raising a worse J on the flop.

Have you seen villain do anything postflop over the first 25 hands. He played most of them and any postflop information can help alot here.

Not that I recall but the only thing I remember is him waking up by raising me thats why i considered folding on flop.

I wouldn't fold the flop. Even a fish can take a small stab by check minraising or near minraising. Most times they don't follow up on that if they are fishy. If he's bluffing, he's almost always drawing to 2 or 3 outs, so it's not like you have to worry about giving him free cards. So just call the flop and fold to further action that indicates he's not bluffing.

That has been my standard line against a flop minraise. Call raise, c/f or c/c turn depending on bet size and bet river if checked through on turn or c/f river if there a river bet.

Actually the thought process to fold on the flop is not bad at all.
As said I would call the flop and fold to the bet on the turn.

I just cant fold this flop against a fishy Villain. Check/fold the turn is the play here IMO Wink
