I get it...as a punishment for interrupting too much in past episodes N0whereman has to add his commentary from the bathroom!
[By the way I think this series is great!]
Hey,
Just been watching this episode though not really watched previous episodes.
You covered a lot of good fundamental points, which I agree many small stakes players miss up on.
Not vbetting well enough, and if they vbet the turn they feel they have to commit to the hand.
One thing I dont necessarily agrre on is the first JJ hand, and that its not a call here most of the time.
This is very opponent dependant, and I would only say the river warrants a call if the player is a bad semi-LAG or a weird type of semi-aggro fish.
Usually the c/c c/c donk shove river are many combinations of hands that beat you, and I can see hands like sets and larger 2 pairs play like this and obv the straight, and especially if he is a loose passive I can never see him turn his draw into a bluff here.
So all Im saying is that its closer than what you made it out to be in the video and against most opponents I actually think its a fold (Note: I do play on Euro sites where the ratio of passive:aggressive players is greater and am not sure this applies to FTP as much- obviously thats why having notes of players is v important.)

in my audio's defense, i moved last week and there's nothing up on the walls in the room i was in when we recorded.

dude the river was just me owning someone, lol. sorry if that wasnt clear in the video; if you go back and listen i did actually ask nowhereman if we even wanted to show the river. we just care about the turn play in the actual hand, and villain was a loose donkish aggro fish if you go look at his stats.
besides getting 2-1 on the river how could i fold? ![]()

yeah we live like a whole hundred miles from each other (met IRL to do episode one!!
) but for some reason our skype call had a lot of white noise/echo in the background. hopefully the content makes up for the mediocre audio, believe it or not rob and rusty managed to do a ridiculously good job of cleaning up the original, so mad props to those guys.
if theres anything that needs clarifying in the video b/c of this let us know!
Good video. I really enjoyed the last hand.
I have a hand here that a guy on AIM asked my opinion on. It involves turn play and since there was some mention about posting hands in this thread I figured I would. He said villain was 22/7/2.1 156 datamined hands

Turn: ($11.55) 4

Hero checks, BTN bets $12.25
I told him to bet the turn.
Say he did bet the turn, and he was reraised. I find myself in this spot a few times a week, and it is one of the harder spots for me to feel like I played correctly.
This was a fun vid, you explain the basics really well and its worth repeating not only for beginners imo, GJ.
Great job again!
I know this is a video about turnplay, but I'm really interested in how you guys would have played the river in the QTs-hand, especially if you improve to a pair, or hit your draw and get raised.
Great stuff, I was able to take a lot of things from this video and directly apply them to my game. Watched it this evening and won 4.5 buyins in a 900-hand session tonight.
The coolest part was that I was up over 3 buyins in non-showdown winnings. Whacked em.
Love the series! Any chance you guys could make available the HUD setup you used ? Thanks a mil

it's prefs.xml file from the config/ folder inside HM (by default would be "c:\Program Files\RVG Software\Holdem Manager\Config\prefs.xml") - if you make this file available we all should be able to use your HM HUD setup
on another note ... where did you get those easy to read cards mod for fulltilt ?
