w00p w00p! Cant wait!
ipod compatible version plz
Currently doing this by myself right now since Quicktime 7 Pro just returns a blank video when I try to convert the mp4 to m4v...so here's something I dug up from googlin':
If the videos are already in the .m4v file format then you need to create an iPhone/iPod version by following these instructions:
1) Import video into iTunes (you may skip this step if you have already done so)
2) Select the video so it is outlined in blue.
3) Click Advanced>Create iPod/iPhone Version. (see screenshot)

It's from some guy named David (had to give him credit
)
Will report by myself if it works, but thought I'd put it up there for those who would like to try.
I have a question about the KQs hand about 56 minutes in. You get raised big by a guy who you think is raising light on oocasion (altho his PFR is only 15). I believe you saw him raise big like this with ATs (a little light maybe but still in the top 6% per pokerstove). Because you are out of position and think he is raising light you reraise big with the intention of calling if he puts you in. So essentially you are committing your stack to get $1.90!? Which I guess is ok if you think you will generally be the favorite, but to me it seems that in all likelihood you are going to be a dog against any hand he can call or shove with (KQs is a crushed by AA, KK, QQ, AK, and is medium/small dog vs most other hands he is likely to have (suited aces, pairs). If he folds half his hands and calls the top half (7.5%) he is a 60/40 favorite. Do you think he will really fold enough to make this the right play? Or do you think he would never actually have a really big hand when he makes that initial raise? I feel like I am definitely missing something!
Thanks.
Steve
i like to see the videos but i guess we can play looser from the bottum

Yeah definitely. Keep watching and you'll see that we do just that. ![]()
Man I feel your pain at 21:42 where you guys bet the turn into the really passive bloke on your right... this is when the A falls on the turn and he checks to you. The flop was 773 twotone...
He calls your turn bet... Jason instantly makes a crack about him having an A... and you guys check behind the rivered 9 and as advertised... he has A3...
I've definitely been running into a lot of this sort of behaviour... guys who are playing so passively that you can easily start undervaluing their ranges in that spot.
So I love your analysis of those sort of guys and what this means for how you want to play them in terms of betsizing, and what they're doing wrong, and how when they are betting it's unlikely to be a missed draw etc.
Might seem obvious basic stuff to other people on DC, but to us beginners it's really good stuff. Thanks.
OK I actually have a question too now...
at 32:00 on the left you have a hand where you raised KQo p/f from the cutoff, got called by a 40/10 in the BB who has a full stack...
flop is 37T rainbow and when it's checked to you you C-bet fairly small (you said it was pretty dry so small c-bet...) anyhoo... he calls:
and a 5 drops on the turn, adding a second diamond. so now 3
7
T
5
and you say:
"now this is absolutely...bad card to barrel"
Jason immediately gets in there and asks what cards you guys would barrel,,, firstly you say you'd probably only do it if you hit a pair there...a turned J is mentioned, as is a turned A...both of which give you either a gutshot or an OESD
but my question is:
Why did the 5 provoke such total revulsion in the barreling part of your brain?
You've already mentioned while choosing your c-betting betsize on the flop that this is a bad player... so this isn't about "representing" the scare card if an A falls, or if a J falls...
So is your decision on barreling about actually improving your hand on the turn? Is it because you're probably thinking that on a quite dryish flop... whatever your opponent called on the flop is likely to be something he'll call with on the turn... so that being the case it's a horrible spot to bluff... which is what barreling is right? (C-bet part 2)
Are there types of flops where you'll be happy barreling a larger percentage of turn cards... like the drawier a flop gets, the more draws your opponent can call a flop with, and so (provided that draw doesn't obviously complete) you'll be barreling more turns... whereas with these dry flops your opponent is folding most of his garbage on the flop, so what he's calling the flop with, he'll call most turns with... so you want to be damn sure you're prepared for getting called on the turn too if you bet...IE With a hand that improved...
I'm so sorry this post got long... I'm just trying to think this out.
if you're going to bet you need some combo of 1) pot equity, and 2) fold equity. with KQ if behind we only have like 12% pot equity at the most, and this turn is not a scare card so we don't pick up FE.
Thanks... you guys actually talked about it much more during the video... so that's cleaned out a leak in my DC game... posting questions before finishing watching the video. Won't be doing that anymore.
Can someone try to explain or elaborate to me about taking notes on players. I know its a bad habit of mine since I've been playing but I rarely take notes on players, and its something thats confused me some as well. Im bad at finding player tendencies or thinking of lines that opponents take, and taking notes on them so I can use it against them later.
I've posted in the two plus two about this and was will have to look at it again but one person said going through hands over and over will help. Will it help just playing a lot of hands. Id like to get the most out of my play and not just "clicking buttons". I feel a bit ignorant about this subject but It hasnt been explained or demonstrated to me in a way that makes sense.
Appreciate any help ![]()

I basically just note what I've seen them do, even sometimes down to things as simple as open-raise sizings from certain positions or 3b sizings in or out of position. I like to note how thin I've seen them vb flops, turns and rivers, basically note anything they do that isn't standard, it's very useful information, it's just taking notes on the way they play different hands.

How can you snap fold here ? I have so truble in folding in spot like this !
Is it because he is tight? passive? Does he never raise a K here ? does he never bluff ?
Hey ya tubasteve!!
Can you please tell me if that HUD you are using is somewhere available to download? I really like the stats made the way you have it and I´m a bit new to HEM so I don´t really know how to make it![]()
