Hi tuba and nowhereman. Back from a 2 month break (eek! it was supposed to be 2 weeks but med probs followed by computer probs made it longer).
This series has been invaluable to me, as my brain has slipped out of "poker thinking" mode. I have filled out 6 pages of notes watching this.
Bit of a tip to anyone who is starting out and needs to learn this stage, make notes as you watch with pen and paper. Not that I will ever read the notes, it just fixes my brain into "listen, understand what is being said and more importantly WHY it is being said".
There is more information in this single video than in some of the books by authors they mentioned in a previous episode, but its not written down, you have to listen and listen well. Its no use just nodding your head, force you brain to grab the "why" behind the decision in order to really learn.
Thanks guys!
Nice Video Guys I'm enjoying this series sometimes its great to review the fundamentals.

"We talked in our first couple of episodes about player types. I don't think we really got into the 92/25 mould very often 'cos they're sort of a rare bird."
I love this series. The format - two guys talking, getting each other to explain their decisions, and how those decisions might change in different situations - works really, really well. Way better than one instructor on their own IMO. Looking forward to watching the rest of this series.
Thanks guys.

Why no ipod compatible download for this particular episode?
Why no ipod compatible download for this particular episode?
We only convert 1-tabling videos for iPod download format as videos that are larger (2 and 4-tabling) don't look very good in general (out of scale & much harder to see). Since this was a 2-tabling video, it wasn't provided in iPod format. As tubasteved linked, there is free software to convert any of your videos to iPod-friendly formats on your own computer, but we've decided to just provide the best-looking videos in iPod format for the time being.
http://mediacoder.sourceforge.net/device/ipod_touch.html for the free software that we use to convert our videos.

hey rob can you tag this as 25NL so it shows up in search?
nice vid!
but I have 1 question about a hand that comes on at 47:00
You have KQs in the BB, UTG+1 calls, MP raise all in $8.35 then the SB calls who is terrible with 4.15 left.
I thinks this is a shove.
You are so much ahead on the range of the SB so that your gonna win a 8.30 sidepot a lot of the time wich makes up for the lesser equity you have against the MP.
i haven't exactly pokerstoved it because I'm bad at giving ranges but I think this move can be pretty +EV, please tell me your thoughts on that.
Really nice to see the concepts discussed in episode 3 being put into perspective in this episode. This episode is a 100% Cbet to episode 3.
Love this episode, as '$tudlani' said, great to see everything in ep. 3 implemented and explained so well in this video, good work.
11:50 You guys talk about not raising the 97s. I acutally think it's a good spot because MP is sitting out and we only have 2 players behind and one of them is playing 7/7 over 28 hands. Also the SB is extremely tight.

well yea sure, but we haven't discussed table dynamics very much at this point, so if you're thinking about it you're ahead of the game. ![]()
remember these vids are relatively old and are designed for beginners.
