My First post here
Thanks alot for the Series guys. Awesome work. I just watched the first 3 vids (one per day is enough, with all the informations to gather) and am pretty excited about the rest. Tubasteve great job. I have also been a Fan of Baby Steps.
well anyway, enough nice words
(dont know the english expression)
2 questions:
Cbet: I do not have a HH since it didnt happen to me but:
Hero (BB) ($25.45)
UTG ($9.60)
MP ($22.75)
Button ($4.20)
SB ($13.80)
Preflop: Hero is BB with AhKc
UTG calls $0.25, MP raises to $1, 2 folds, Hero raises to $4, 1 fold, MP calls $3
Flop: ($8.35)3h9s3s (2 players)
Hero bets $6, MP raises to $12, Hero folds
Villain is 19/12/1.7, 229 Hands (Vpip/PFR/AF)
Is this really a good spot for a cbet? My first impression was yes. He surley won`t lay down any PP here (he shouldn`t). Can we really bring him to fold broadway cards here? Just think would be a strange Preflop Call then.
2nd:
Tubasteve: The Skin u`re using for HM is so way better then the standard one. Is it downloadble anywhere?
Thx in adv.

I want to thank TS and NWM for this video. Im new to DC and i've had the chance to check out a few other sites, with regards to their content on small stakes.DC is the first of the (Top) three sites that really tries to break down small stakes to their subscribers in a way that builds their game "from the ground up", and its so well organized! LOL i guess this might sound noobish or whatever but i've been looking for content like this for a long time guys, even the DC community has good things to add to the experience. The coaches on this episode(and the series for that matter) are very thorough, personally i didn't find anything wrong with them talking over each other a bit......two real good coaches among many i hope, finally i've wasted enough $$.....THANK YOOOUUUU

You two guys work well together - I like the way you kept asking each other questions.
Great overview of general flop structures. Great section on C-betting. I am on my 4th page of notes for the series =)
Thank you!

Man i like this serie alot
Im a tournament player. So i never played cash.
This go a lot deeper than regular sng strategy. Playing in position, board texture etc. This must help me also for tournaments.
1 question about grinding. Bones told at a podcast that grinding up a bankroll with cash. A lot easyer is than with tournaments. Can someone please explane why this is.
For example i am playing 27 mans $6.5 turbo 6 mutitabling avg duration is about 40min. That means if im grinding with a roi of 15% im making. About 9 bucks a hour.
I am realy a nub op cash. But i heard that if you play cash. Your profit is about 1 bb/hour. So i realy dont understand how its possible to grind more money with cash.
My idea was that i need a mutch bigger bankroll, than i need at sng's

Question on the hand where Tubasteve C-bets into two-tone A-2-3. I understand why a C-bet bluff is the right move, but the bet amount is increased because it is two-toned, which I do not understand. I would think a loose player or any player would continue if on the flush draw whether the bet was sized at 1/2 pot or 3/4 pot. Maybe to push off back door draws? If we had a hand, then I understand why we would bet more. Someone please explain this, thanks.

If you don't you're going to have severe problems both building a pot, and balancing (if balance is a factor vs your villain.)
It's going to be pretty villain dependent. Like do they tend to fire turns if you check back flops? Coz that's a decent way of extracting something from their nothing range...
But if you're going to check back a flop like this with a v-strong hand... I dunno... consider minbetting instead or something. Anything to maximise value against their whole range.

there's no harm in checking back sometimes on a really dry board, especially if you think your opponent will fire at the pot. against unknowns that are likely to be stations, however, i'll usually just bet. mixing it up like this is more effective villains that are aggro but dont really play back at cbets.
