Not much history with these guys. UTG turned a flush earlier that he only bet half pot with once it hit. So he/she struggles getting max value with made hands typically.

I want to start with the preflop action. I was intending to isolate the fish here in MP. I had a feeling that if the UTG player had any premium hand he was going to show me preflop. I really wasn't liking a call here but we do have position. Feel free to change my mind.

OTF I think I should have cbet smaller. Once he raises I was pretty sure he had me crushed but with such a small hand sample it's hard to say. Would anyone ever check this behind given the villain that came along in the hand likely has a strong range after getting this far?

you have to be careful when squeezing people with their tightest ranges. generally, squeezing is done in the blinds to MP or CO raises followed by a caller. this is an easy fold as played.

also, whats the thoughts behind squeezing? value or bluff? if its as a bluff, then checking the flop isnt a bad play given both villians have called you PF. and if anyone is likely to have a strong hand, it's UTG. and he'll let you know it on the turn by betting out.

but i would be looking to make by 3bets on the BTN more a value raise than a bluff in this spot because of the UTG player.

Thanks for the reply!

I was really looking at the weaker player here. Obviously this wasn't to well thought out beyond "hoping" the weak player would call with a crappy hand. I didn't have much of a plan for the UTG player calling my squeeze.

Now I know in some cases this thinking is bad but I was planning on the UTG player either folding (AQ, KQs small/mid PP's and coming over the top with premiums making this an easy fold. The thing I always thought was wrong with this is AJ is fairly strong but not against UTG's range. However we have position on both players and it's possible to use that to our advantage as well. Calling might be better, it will most likely keep us in the hand with the weak player and hopefully he hits something worse than we do so we can gets some value from him.
