I like your line with AQ here. I would also lean towards folding if he shoves the river. I often talk myself into calling since I took a passive line and I'm at the top of my range, etc, but the fact is that an unknown weaker looking player is rarely capable of firing 3 as a bluff here. Most will bet once or twice and give up in my experience. And if he is the type to blindly fire here, that's fine, we should be able to find that out and take advantage of it pretty quickly.

yeah I agree with all of this. it's obviously exploitable to be check-folding 100% but that's probably better than calling.
a simple bet-bet-xf line might be best but I don't mind it as played. it's not a super profitable spot on the flop after having raised UTG.

I think betting once here is the worst option. I'd probably just give up OTF, but if I decide to cbet I think we should be betting on most turns.
over 50% of the deck will gives me a pair, straight draw, flush draw, and/or A or Q to bluff, so the board and my hand should lend itself well for betting the turn if I choose to bet. if UTG calls he's usually got 99+ so maybe it's best to not bet all these cards vs. him.

Don't you think you miss value against hands like QTs, KTs, KJ and QJ when you check the flop? I think you'll get two streets of value from these hands a lot, while they will probably check it down if you check.
Also, you mention you would hate getting raised if you do cbet the flop. Is this really such a problem? This board is very good for our utg opening range and there aren't many draws I expect him to raise, so I think I'd be folding pretty comfortably.
I'd hate it when he shoves the river after you c/c twice. I'd be afraid he'd be shoving worse queens for value because he fiigures we can't have Ax or better after check/call the flop.

I don't think I'm missing value, because I'm not intending on value betting 3 streets with AQ on AJTxy anyway. I don't consider checking AQ to be transparent since I'm checking my underpairs on this flop.
it's possible to have a value bet range that's too wide. I have so many strong hands on this flop that AQ really gets knocked down to the middle of my range. I have an overabundance of value betting hands, so why not add some strength to my checking range?
I can fold to a flop raise but it still means I'm folding 17% equity against a range of only AJ, ATs, KQs, JJ, TT. 17% isn't enough to call but folding forgoes that 17% equity.
