Do you think this is a fold? He could have slowplayed a set there or have a better flush. I feel we are not good there enough of the time to make a call here.

I'm very interested to know how you guys play this - do you stack off? This spot comes up quite often so I think it's worth debating.

what was your thinking behind betting the river, with a weak FD , on a paired board?
wouldn't c/c be better if you want to get to showdown?

btw - he can easily have 44 or JJ here.

nh now fold

I think betting the river yourselff is better than c/c.
If you check hes gonna check his marginal 1pair hands behind and only bet with stuff that has you beat imo.

if we bet, he's going to fold his marginal stuff anyway. so i dont think that we're actually going to lose that much value in checking the river.

i can see betting the river being great vrs 45/15 players, as there's lots of value in our flush still. but not a 19/14 nit. even after 168 hands, and not how the betting has gone. i feel betting a paired board with a weakish flush is heading the thin road.

so therefor, if we check, and and he bets, we know he's strong(ish). and if he checks, we know we're mostly good.

problem is, any paired board is really scary for us.

Do you think it's better to check call this river or to bet fold? I do agree we should fold a ten high flush, but what would you do with a nut flush here?
And another point: a standard reg would probably raise a set either on the flop or the turn, because of the FD.

I think im going for a c/r on the turn where i pot commit myself, with that line we have a lot of FE and if called we still have a ton of outs, especially because we make villain fold any better FD.
