I actually think i played the hand like a donk (60%)

I am thinking at this since 2 days.
I wanna know if i played like an idiot, or if is profitable to calldown like i did, having some reads about villain.
-Is this a non-sense-hand?
-Was a call on the turn, fold on the river?
-Fold on the turn?
-Fold on the flop?
-Is the preflop action(call) profitable againist this type of villain?

Reads:
Villain cbets only a few flops, the ones he cbet are followed by turn & river Cbets
The ones he check are check-folded.
Some hands before he showed up with an huge missed draw.bluff on the river(3 barrels)
Again some hands before, he showed up with soe medium\decent made hands in wich he checked behind on the turn and value bet the river OR bet the turn and checked behind river.
Seems like he trigger often(always) with his air and missed draws).

I wouldn't have gone broke pre with 99 (probably a mistake again this opponent?)
Also being 160x, planned to play postflop and IP.

I raise on the flop after his weak Cbet, being sure he was going to call with all his air,Overcards,middle\bottom pairs,draws.
Also, showing a bit of strength i was hoping to play HU againist him, letting BTN(hitOrFold) fold all his air\aces\low PPs.

I was bet\folding the turn till he donks for a pretty strange size.
I decide to calldown planning to check-behind the river after his check...and he shoves...
..i can't see any hands that beat me, he could play like that.

This guy could show up with any 2 pr, Q3 suited or whatever, and I think you can 3 b for value pre

Do you have any bet sizing tells? What do you think his small cbet means?

Why raise the flop? If he is bluffing a lot, we want him to continue doing this and call down unless the board gets very ugly.

Agree that we can 3b this and shove over a 4bet, but that's going to be high variance as villain will often have 2 overs.

As played, I fold unless I have a read what he is overbetting. We have 3rd pair and shown a considerable amount of strength.

As i said, from the history i had , i was expecting him to call with any of his weak hands like 3x s \ ,Tx s\o, low PPs
He used to cbet large sizes with complete air\draws, and i've noticed him giving up on the turn after small cbets in the previous hands.
I mean, he used to bet big with a polarized range of hands, made of strong made ones\air.
ON the opposite side i tought he was doing that with the remaining part of his range,made of weak hands

So, should've been 3bet\broke pre?

Viewing the hand again, i really see i probably made some dangerous moves here, EV-----------------------------------infinite.

Kind of stereotyping here, it may or may not apply to how this guy plays, but from my experience this player type calls way too many 3 bets, and doesn't have a sophisticated 4 bet game, so I expect him to call 3bs with hands like A-rag , small pockets, suited connecters, Kx suited, and trashy hands that have no business in a 3bet pot.
